Rex is currently on the lookout for Flight Attendants based in Cairns who have a passion for safety and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities:
As Flight Attendant, you will be responsible for managing the entire cabin independently, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the flight. You will have the opportunity to provide a caring and personalised service while travelling to some of Australia’s most unique destinations. Your duties will include performing equipment and security checks, making in-flight announcements, delivering food and beverage service, carrying out cleaning tasks, and independently handling various situations that may arise in the cabin. You must be detail-oriented and safety-conscious, capable of managing in-flight services while maintaining a high standard of safety and compliance with aviation regulations.
Requirements
The successful candidate must be 18 years of age or over and be able to demonstrate that they have either completed a minimum of three years of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand, worked in Australia or New Zealand for at least three of the last five years, worked in the UK, Ireland, or the USA for at least three of the last five years, or completed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall grade of 5.5. Candidates must be Australian citizens or permanent residents, although prior flying experience is not required as extensive training will be provided. Applicants must hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011), be able to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) which involves a police security check, and demonstrate a passion for their role with a commitment to delivering exceptional and consistent customer service. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as working hours will vary and include holiday periods and peak seasons. A high level of personal presentation, a natural willingness to please and care for people, a height no greater than 173 cm, and the ability to swim fully clothed without aid or a floating device are also required, with a swim assessment being part of the process.
