The Practical Requirements
To join us on this journey, you'll need to meet the following:
- Be at least 18 years old when training begins
- Hold a valid passport with no travel restrictions
- Have completed at least a lower secondary school certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) plus 2 years of work experience, OR a completed vocational qualification
- Speak and understand German and English fluently—minimum B2 level in both
- Be able to swim confidently
- Pass a medical fitness examination and security background check (we'll guide you through this)
- Own a mobile phone with an active contract
