Join Air Wisconsin as a Flight Attendant – Based in Killeen, TX!
Have you ever imagined being the welcoming face and calming presence that turns a routine flight into a genuinely pleasant journey? Air Wisconsin is looking for someone just like you to join our team as a Flight Attendant. While our crew base is at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, WI, this specific role is domiciled right here in Killeen, Texas—so you'll be serving passengers from the heart of Central Texas.
At Air Wisconsin, our Flight Attendants take real pride in delivering the kind of warm, professional service that makes travelers feel genuinely cared for. On our aircraft, you won't be part of a large cabin team. In fact, you'll be the sole Flight Attendant on board, which means you'll own the entire passenger experience from start to finish. If you're someone who thrives on responsibility, stays cool under pressure, and genuinely enjoys making people feel at ease, this could be the perfect fit.
What You'll Be Doing Every Day?
As the only flight attendant on your aircraft, your role is both challenging and incredibly rewarding. You'll handle everything related to passenger safety, comfort, and satisfaction. Here's a closer look at what that looks like in practice:
- You'll create a welcoming, orderly cabin environment where passengers feel safe and looked after from the moment they step onboard.
- You'll professionally handle passenger requests, questions, and concerns with patience and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- You'll follow established safety procedures and emergency protocols precisely, remaining calm and effective in any inflight situation.
- You'll stay alert to security requirements, ensuring every flight meets federal standards.
- In short, you'll be the person passengers remember—the one who made their trip smoother, safer, and more pleasant.
What We're Looking For?
We take our hiring seriously because you'll take your responsibilities seriously. To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following requirements:
- At least 19 years of age.
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- A valid US Passport at the time of application, or a valid foreign passport with documentation permitting unlimited international transit.
- 1–2 years of customer service experience under your belt.
- The ability to pass federally mandated checks: a 10-year background check, FBI fingerprinting, and a pre-employment drug screening.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
- The ability to transit across international borders without restrictions.
- You must live within two hours of the Killeen, Texas domicile.
- The resilience to perform effectively under stress, adapting quickly to changing situations.
- Height and reach requirements: no taller than 5'10" (70 inches) without shoes, with the ability to reach at least 68 inches above the ground.
- Physical capability to stand, stoop, bend, squat, twist, turn, and push, pull, and lift up to 45 pounds.
- Strong English language skills—you must be able to read, write, understand, and converse proficiently in English, as it's the common language shared among flight, maintenance, and cabin crews.
- The availability to attend and successfully complete a three-week unpaid training class.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
A Few Important Things to Note
We believe in transparency, so we want to be upfront about a couple of key points. The three-week training course is unpaid, though it provides the essential certification you'll need to begin your career with us. Additionally, because you'll be the sole flight attendant on board, your ability to work independently while following strict safety and service protocols is absolutely essential.
Air Wisconsin is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We welcome applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status. Minorities, women, veterans, and individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
