What You'll Be Doing Up in the Air?
Your role goes far beyond serving drinks and handing out pillows. You'll be the person passengers trust with their safety, comfort, and overall experience. Here's a glimpse of what your days will look like:
- Carrying out safety, first aid, and security procedures with the highest level of precision—because nothing matters more than keeping everyone secure
- Being the face of Cathay, offering authentic, personal service that makes each passenger feel seen and valued
- Going the extra mile to create memorable inflight moments, from anticipating needs before they're voiced to handling surprises with grace
- Caring for passengers—especially those who need a little extra help—with genuine empathy and professionalism

- Adapting to whatever comes your way with confidence, tact, and flexibility—because no two flights are ever the same
- Upholding inflight policies and meeting all regulatory requirements with integrity
What We're Looking For?
We welcome applicants who meet the following essentials:
- The right to work in Hong Kong
- At least 18 years of age
- A high school graduate or higher
- Fluency in both written and spoken English, plus at least one of these additional languages: Cantonese, Putonghua, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, Filipino, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, or Sinhala
- Strong communication and people skills
- A minimum arm-reach of 208cm when standing on tiptoes
It's a bonus if you have:
- Previous experience in airline, hospitality, or service industries
- Proficiency in Putonghua (Mandarin)
Important Safety-Sensitive Requirements
Because this role involves the safety of everyone onboard, successful candidates must also:
- Pass a comprehensive pre-employment background check
- Demonstrate physical fitness through a pre-employment medical assessment
- Pass a pre-employment drug test, following HKCAD Guidance for Screening of Psychoactive Substances (CAD373)
No English Test? No Problem – Here's an Option
If English isn't your first language but you have strong skills, you may be exempt from our English assessment by submitting a valid score from either:
- TOEIC® (Public Test): 325 or above in both Reading and Listening
- IELTS (Academic): An overall Band Score of 6.0 or above
Just remember to upload your score report with your application, and ensure the result is still within its validity period—we'll verify it during the recruitment process.
