We are hosting in-person Assessment Days at two key UK locations. This is your chance to meet our team, learn about our culture, and demonstrate your potential.
- London Gatwick (LGW): Monday, 17th February 2026
- Manchester Airport (MAN): Wednesday, 19th February 2026
Successful applicants will receive a personalised email invitation with full details, including venue information, timings, and an overview of the day's activities. The Assessment Day is designed to be both informative and engaging, allowing you to showcase the key skills we value while learning what it's really like to fly with Ascend.
Your Role: Ensuring Safety and Creating Smiles!
As a vital member of our onboard team, you will balance critical safety duties with warm, attentive customer care. From the pre-flight briefing to the final debrief, you will be the face of Ascend Airways, responsible for creating a secure, comfortable, and pleasant journey for all our passengers.
A typical day will see you:
- Attending detailed pre-flight briefings and conducting thorough pre-flight safety and cabin checks.
- Welcoming passengers on board with a genuine smile, assisting with seating, and ensuring a smooth boarding process.
- Conducting clear and confident safety demonstrations for passengers before take-off.
- Providing first-class customer service throughout the flight, including personalised assistance for passengers with additional needs.
- Maintaining constant vigilance over the cabin, enforcing safety regulations, and remaining poised to assist in any situation.
- Offering our complimentary refreshment service and ensuring the cabin environment is always welcoming.
- Assisting passengers during disembarkation and completing all necessary post-flight checks and reports.
What You Bring to Our Crew?
We are looking for individuals who combine experience with the right attitude. To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a Cabin Crew role.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. Knowledge of additional languages is a strong advantage.
- Confidence and ability to swim at least 25 metres unassisted.
- A valid UK CAA Cabin Crew Attestation is beneficial, though not essential, as full training will be provided.
- A foundational knowledge of medical first aid (comprehensive, updated training will be provided by Ascend Airways).
Mandatory Criteria for All Candidates:
- Unrestricted right to live and work in the UK.
- Ability to obtain and hold a valid UK Cabin Crew Medical certificate.
- Hold a valid passport permitting unrestricted worldwide travel.
- Be over 18 years of age at the time of application.
- Hold necessary vaccination certificates and pass all required background and DBS screening checks.
Rewards & Benefits

- Cabin Crew: A base salary of £22,000 per annum, plus attractive benefits and additional flight pay.
- Senior Cabin Crew: A base salary of £25,000 per annum, plus benefits and flight pay.
