Description
Solairus Aviation is hiring a full-time Flight Attendant to support a Gulfstream G700 operation based in Van Nuys, California (KVNY). We’re looking for someone who is adaptable, service-oriented, and brings a strong culinary background. Advanced training in culinary arts is a major plus, as this role places a high priority on premium inflight dining and hospitality. You will be responsible for delivering a personalized, safe, and seamless experience to passengers on every flight, while also assisting with cabin preparation, emergency readiness, and inflight service delivery. From welcoming guests and conducting safety briefings to managing fine dining presentation and post-flight cleanup, you’ll ensure each journey reflects the highest standards of private aviation.
Key Responsibilities:
This role includes administering first aid when needed, assisting in any onboard emergencies, and ensuring all cabin areas are fully stocked, clean, and passenger-ready. It also involves sourcing specific passenger requests, maintaining onboard inventories, and preparing the galley and lavatory for each leg. Inflight responsibilities include operating the Cabin Management Systems, conducting cabin checks, and completing documentation. Attention to detail, flexibility with schedules, and strong interpersonal skills are critical for success in this role. Candidates should be comfortable with short-notice travel, long duty hours, and international deployments of up to 16 days. Culinary ability, previous corporate aviation experience, and recent recurrent training are essential qualities we’re looking for.
Requirements
Candidates must bring at least five years of experience as a corporate flight attendant and have strong familiarity with FAA regulations. Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED use is required. Those who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or equivalent formal training are preferred, especially within the past year. If formal training hasn’t been completed, selected candidates must commit to attending prior to being assigned. Technological proficiency, excellent customer service, and adaptability to a dynamic flight schedule are a must. The ability to travel globally without restrictions and work long shifts is essential.
Applicants must be able to manage all cabin functions, galley equipment, and comfort features like berthing seats and divans. Strong interpersonal communication, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate client needs are key. A college degree is preferred, as is fluency in one or more foreign languages. Experience caring for small children is also an advantage. Physical requirements include good vision and hearing (correctable to 20/20), the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform cabin and luggage-related tasks.
Benefits and Perks
Solairus offers a competitive compensation structure tailored to the market and your qualifications. Depending on experience, aircraft type, location, responsibilities, and account-specific factors, compensation ranges between $50,000 and $500,000 annually.
