    As a Flight Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, welfare, and comfort of all passengers and crew members. This includes responding effectively to in-flight emergencies and contributing to smooth flight operations. You will also be tasked with completing incident reports, creating a positive customer experience, and adhering to federal regulations. Additionally, you will attend training to maintain qualifications, stay updated on company materials, and build customer loyalty through teamwork and exceptional service. Finally, you will serve as a customer service, marketing, and public relations ambassador for Avelo.

    Benefits and Perks

    Avelo Flight Attendants enjoy competitive compensation that includes a starting hourly wage of $28, with a guaranteed minimum of 75 hours per month. Those in lead roles receive an additional $2 per hour. Additionally, flight attendants receive a per diem of $2.25 per hour while on duty at the airport or flying. Other benefits include premium pay as applicable and holiday pay for designated company holidays.


    Requirements

    To be successful in this role, candidates must be at least 21 years old, have reliable transportation, and the ability to report to their assigned location within two hours. They must attend and successfully complete all Avelo Flight Attendant training requirements and be prepared to relocate to a base assignment at their own expense after training. The position requires working a rotating schedule with variable hours, including duty days of up to 16 hours, nighttime or overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended periods away from home.

    A neat professional appearance, adherence to Avelo's uniform and appearance guidelines, and compliance with DOT, FAA, and Avelo Airlines’ drug and alcohol policies for safety-sensitive employees are mandatory. Candidates must be willing to serve all types of food and beverages, maintain an up-to-date address and working telephone number, and possess a valid U.S. passport (or foreign passport with applicable visas) with at least six months of validity. They must also have unrestricted travel rights to all cities served by Avelo Airlines, including Canada, and be fluent in English. All duties outlined in the Avelo Inflight Services Manual, Flight Attendant Playbook, and other company safety manuals must be performed, along with any additional responsibilities assigned by the flight captain or leadership. Candidates must also be legally authorized to work in the United States.

    Physical Requirements:

    The ideal candidates must have vision of at least 20/40 with glasses or contact lenses, the ability to lift 50 pounds from ground to waist, walk forward down the aircraft aisle without interfering with seated customers, fit into the jump seat with all belts/restraints fastened, maintain balance while walking or standing during flights, and push or pull aircraft doors or carts with a force of up to 100 pounds. Additionally, they must be able to assist customers during evacuations and stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, and crouch for extended periods.
