    Were you born to fly?

For over four decades, Virgin Atlantic has been turning heads in the sky with our unmistakable style, innovative spirit, and award-winning customer experience. We're not just another airline—we do things differently, and it's our incredible people who make that possible.

Now, we're looking for passionate, customer-focused individuals to join our exceptional Cabin Crew team at London Heathrow. If you're ready to embark on an adventure that will take you around the world while building a career with one of aviation's most beloved brands, this could be your moment.

Over the years, we've watched thousands of new crew members join the Virgin Atlantic family and truly soar. We'd love for you to be next.

Your New Role: Ambassador of the Skies

The moment you put on our iconic uniform, you become the face of Virgin Atlantic—a living, breathing ambassador for our bold spirit and love of travel. Every flight brings new faces, new destinations, and new opportunities to shine.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

    • Delivering exceptional safety, security, and operational standards on every flight, ensuring our customers feel protected and cared for from takeoff to landing
    • Working alongside a close-knit, high-performing team where your personality and flair aren't just welcomed—they're celebrated
    • Creating those unforgettable, feel-good moments that keep our customers coming back and set us apart from every other airline
    • Supporting customer wellbeing in all its forms, whether that's reassuring a nervous flyer, assisting someone with accessibility needs, or responding calmly to a medical situation
    • Bringing fun, inclusivity, and that unmistakable Virgin Atlantic spirit to every journey

No two flights are ever the same—and honestly, that's exactly how we like it.

    Who We're Looking For?

Our mission is simple: to be the most loved travel company. Achieving that starts with finding the right people—individuals who genuinely love working with others, feel a pull toward travel, and are excited to be part of an award-winning team. If delivering outstanding customer experiences comes naturally to you and you approach every situation with positivity, we'll take care of the rest.

To be successful in your application and training, you'll need:

    • The right to live and work in the UK (please note we cannot offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role)
    • A clean record with no live, unspent criminal convictions or pending cases
    • The ability to swim 25 metres unaided and board a raft from the water using a rope ladder without assistance
    • At least two years of experience in a customer-facing role at the time of application
    • A minimum of three GCSEs at grades A*-C or 9-4 (or academic equivalent)
    • Fluency in written and spoken English

    Meeting Our Safety Critical Standards

Because safety is at the heart of everything we do, you must be able to:

    • Handle the physical demands of pushing, pulling, lifting, reaching, and manoeuvring equipment or people in both routine and emergency situations
    • Communicate clearly, hear accurately, and respond quickly in safety-critical moments—even in noisy environments or when wearing protective equipment
    • Read, interpret, and follow safety and medical information, including small text and digital displays, in low-light or emergency conditions
    • Stand and walk unaided for extended periods (minimum eight hours) while maintaining full safety awareness
    • Work safely in confined spaces, including serving hot items and manoeuvring through restricted areas of the aircraft
    • Respond immediately and effectively to medical and safety emergencies, including performing first aid, CPR, and evacuation procedures
    • Handle and serve our full diverse menu—including meat, fish, vegetarian, vegan, and all allergens—throughout the entire flight
    • Travel freely across our entire route network without restriction, meeting all visa, entry, and health requirements

    What We'll Check at Assessment

During our assessment centre, we'll confirm you can:

    • Reach up to 210cm without shoes (tiptoes allowed)—the height of our overhead lockers where emergency equipment is stored
    • Adopt the brace position in a 45cm-high seat with feet flat on the floor and comfortably secure your harness without using an extension seatbelt

    What's in It for You?

    • Salary: A basic salary starting at £22,447.32, plus average expected trip pay of around £5,000, other variable payments, and subsistence allowances down route (based on 48 trips per year)
    • Travel perks: Industry-leading staff travel for you and your loved ones, including up to seven free flights a year to any of our destinations (you just pay fees and taxes)
    • Career development: Ongoing coaching and support from your dedicated crew performance manager throughout your career
    • Financial security: A generous contributory pension scheme and life assurance
    • Health and wellbeing: Company-funded private medical insurance, access to online digital GP Doctor@Hand, and a range of optional salary sacrifice benefits like travel and dental insurance and gym memberships
    • Discounts and savings: Access to a variety of discounted products and services
    • Flexibility: Potential to transition to a part-time contract after two years of full-time employment

    Your Training Journey

We're serious about setting you up for success. Our training programme is thorough, challenging, and incredibly rewarding—designed to give you the confidence and skills to thrive from day one.

Your journey begins with our 'First Dates' initiation day at our vibrant head office. From there, you'll complete five weeks of in-person training, split into three core areas: Safety and Security, Safety Equipment and Procedures, Aviation Medicine, and Service. Expect a mix of classroom learning, practical sessions (including swimming), daily tests, exams, and final assessments.

Before practical training starts, you'll complete seven online modules (about one hour each) to build a solid foundation. Then it's full steam ahead.

Graduate from your Wings ceremony, and the sky's the limit—you'll be ready to put all your hard work into practice and take off. Even our most experienced crew continue learning on the job. That's what keeps things interesting.
