Lead the Inflight Team at Sun Country Airlines – Based in Minneapolis!

Sun Country Airlines is looking for a motivated and experienced Inflight Manager to join our team in Minneapolis. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work alongside our Senior Manager of Inflight to shape the daily operations of our cabin crew. If you're someone who enjoys mentoring others, solving problems on the fly, and ensuring both safety and service standards are consistently met, this could be the perfect next step in your aviation career.

    What You'll Be Doing?

As an Inflight Manager, you'll serve as a key point of support and guidance for our Flight Attendants. Your focus will be on helping them succeed—whether that means coaching them through challenges, ensuring they understand and follow regulations, or stepping in to help when things don't go as planned. You'll work across departments, interact with crew members daily, and help maintain the high standards our passengers expect from Sun Country.

Here's a closer look at what the role involves:

    • Supervision and coaching: You'll be responsible for supporting Flight Attendants, helping them grow professionally, and addressing any performance or policy concerns as they arise.
    • Policy and regulation expertise: You'll need to stay current on everything from the Flight Attendant Manual and federal regulations to the union agreement and company drug and alcohol policies.
    • Daily communication: Expect frequent interaction over phone, email, and in person with Flight Attendants and other departments across the airline.
    • Investigations and follow-up: When policy violations or regulatory issues occur, you'll investigate, determine outcomes, and take appropriate action.
    • Customer service collaboration: You'll review reports from the Customer Service team and provide thoughtful follow-up.
    • Crew briefings: You'll provide clear, helpful briefings to crews before, during, and after trips—keeping everyone informed and aligned.
    • On-call support: Part of the role includes being available to respond to emergencies or assist with inflight operational decisions when needed.
    • Representing the department: You'll attend interdepartmental meetings as the voice of the Inflight team.
    • Monitoring performance: You'll track daily operational performance, investigate delays to find root causes, and implement corrective actions to meet goals.
    • Quality assurance: Conducting audits and in-flight observation rides will be part of your routine to ensure compliance and complete required documentation.
    • Hiring support: You'll assist in recruiting and selecting new Flight Attendants.
    • Special projects: You'll take on projects assigned by the Senior Director of Inflight.

What You Bring to the Table?

We're looking for a leader who combines operational know-how with genuine people skills. Here are the qualifications you'll need:

    Required:

    • A high school diploma (a bachelor's degree is preferred but not required).
    • At least three years of previous leadership experience.
    • The ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a team with patience and clarity.
    • Comfort speaking in front of large groups.
    • Either a current FAA-issued Flight Attendant Certificate or the ability to complete our Flight Attendant Training Program.
    • Experience working with a union collective bargaining agreement.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Solid organization, time management, and multitasking abilities.
    • Working knowledge of Part 121 operations, federal regulations, and Transportation Security Regulations.
    • Flexibility and operational availability 24/7. This role includes varied hours—early mornings, evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.

    Preferred:

    • Previous management experience.
    • Prior experience as a qualified Flight Attendant.
    • Experience managing performance within a team.

    Physical and Logistical Requirements

This role involves both desk work and time on your feet. You should be able to:

    • Stand, walk, use your hands, reach, and lift up to 10 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
    • Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch as needed.
    • Meet vision requirements including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
    • Additionally, you must be willing to travel as required, obtain an FAA-issued Flight Attendant Certificate if you don't already have one, and be able to enter any country Sun Country Airlines operates in.

    What Sun Country Offers You?

We believe in taking care of our people. When you join us as an Inflight Manager, you'll enjoy:

    • Comprehensive benefits including dental and vision coverage.
    • PPO and high-deductible health plans.
    • Health savings accounts (both HSA and FSA options).
    • Dependent care support.
    • Free standby and discounted travel privileges for you, your family, and your friends—starting day one.
    • 401(k) with company match.
    • Paid time off and paid holidays.
    • Life and AD&D insurance.
    • Employee Assistance Program with counseling for employees and their families.
    • Fitness incentive and stop-smoking support.

Compensation: The hiring range for this role is $58,000 - $65,000 annually.
