    Southwest Airlines is looking for a Supervisor of Flight Attendants based in Baltimore (BWI). This position plays a key role in supporting and evaluating Southwest’s Flight Attendants at the Baltimore Inflight Base. The Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring job performance, enforcing company policies and work rules, and upholding professional standards. Serving as the primary point of contact for Flight Attendants at the station, the Supervisor will provide guidance, support, and answers to role-related inquiries.     Key Responsibilities:

    As a Supervisor Flight Attendants, you will guide and lead team members using SWA talent management practices to coach, develop, and engage employees while adhering to company values and competencies to foster a culture of inclusion, recognition, and support of a safe work environment. You will invest in leadership and self-growth through participation in continuous learning and development, and provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to inflight base employees. Responsibilities include coaching and counseling flight attendants on behavior, performance, and appearance issues, maintaining a working knowledge of the Flight Attendant Manual, Work & Conduct Rules, and Collective Bargaining Agreement, and attending all required leadership annual training such as recurrent training, drug and alcohol training, and others as set by the company or leader. You will ensure compliance with all work rules and regulations, support flight attendant recognition and award programs, and follow up with anniversaries, commendation letters, LUV reports, Kicktails, On The Spot, and other recognition awards. You will conduct i360 and flight attendant boarding performance assessments, which may require late-night travel and visits to liaison with leaders and employees in assigned Southwest-served cities. You must qualify for and maintain all active requirements of a Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant and be responsible for data entry of flight attendant personal files. Additional job duties may be assigned by employee's leaders.


    Requirements

    The successful candidate must be at least 18 years of age and hold a high school diploma or GED. They must possess fully functioning, broad knowledge in directly or indirectly leading teams or individuals, reading and interpreting Collective Bargaining Agreements and enforcing work rules, and airline operations. The candidate must have or be able to gain and maintain Inflight Crew Qualification (SWA Flight Attendant Certification) and meet all regulatory criteria to obtain and maintain a CREW badge designation, including successful and continuous enrollment in Rap Back. They must demonstrate knowledge of the principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards, and evaluating satisfaction. Additionally, knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, business and management principles, and the structure and content of the English language is required. The candidate must be skilled in using logic and reasoning, understanding new information for effective decision-making, applying general rules to specific problems, and switching efficiently between tasks or sources of information. They must maintain a well-groomed appearance per company standards, be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States, and comply with company attendance standards. The role also requires the ability to perform duties from a limited space workstation for extended periods, communicate in English effectively, and use a computer and office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet job demands.

    Southwest offers a competitive market salary ranging from $82,800 to $92,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
