    Key Responsibilities:

    As a Mesa Airlines Flight Attendant, you will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring passenger safety, comfort, and satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Dedicating constant attention to our passengers, meticulously ensuring their safety and providing a consistently reliable and reassuring onboard experience from the moment they step onto the aircraft until disembarkation.

    Bases:

    Placement for this pivotal role is determined by Mesa Airlines' operational requirements and seniority. Our current primary crew bases, subject to dynamic operational adjustments, include:

    • IAD (Washington, D.C.)
    • IAH (Houston, TX)
    • SDF (Louisville, KY)

    Successful new hires will be assigned to one of these key operational hubs during their initial training phase.


    Requirements

    We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, service, and professionalism. To be a successful Mesa Airlines Flight Attendant, you should meet the following requirements:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • A high school diploma or its equivalent is a fundamental requirement; candidates possessing college credits or a minimum of two years of dedicated customer service experience are highly preferred, showcasing a foundational commitment to service excellence.
    • Demonstrated unwavering reliability, consistent punctuality, and inherent dependability are non-negotiable attributes, critical for the seamless execution of our flight operations.
    • Exceptional fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential to ensure crystal-clear communication with both passengers and fellow crew members.
    • A willingness to accept assignment to any of Mesa Airlines' crew bases upon successful completion of training (which may necessitate relocation or commuting) is required, reflecting adaptability to our operational needs.
    • The ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts, is crucial for navigating the dynamic and demanding nature of the airline industry.
    • Must possess a height between 4 feet 11 inches and 6 feet without shoes, coupled with the physical capability to comfortably reach into overhead bins and galley compartments to access emergency equipment.
    • Demonstrated ability to execute all safety-critical procedures, including the operation of aircraft doors, the capacity to lift up to 40 pounds to shoulder height, assisting with carry-on baggage stowage, and proficiently maneuvering meal and beverage carts.
    • Consistently present a clean, neat, and professional appearance at all times, serving as a visual representation of Mesa Airlines' commitment to excellence.
    • Must be able to comfortably occupy the flight attendant jumpseat without any modifications, walk effortlessly down the aircraft aisle facing forward, and swiftly navigate through overwing exits in an emergency.
    • Possess a minimum visual acuity of 20/40, whether corrected or uncorrected.
    • Must be legally authorized to work within the United States.
    • Must possess and diligently maintain a valid passport throughout employment.
    • Possess the legal authority to travel without restriction to and from all international destinations currently served by Mesa Airlines, including Canada, Mexico, the Bahamas, and Cuba.
    • Applicants must hold the necessary authorization to facilitate multiple entries into the United States at their discretion.
    • Successfully complete a thorough background investigation, which includes comprehensive FBI fingerprinting and a detailed criminal history assessment.
    • Successfully pass a DOT/FAA pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, and be subject to random screenings throughout employment, encompassing tests for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, PCP, and amphetamine. It is imperative to note that the DOT strictly prohibits the use of medical marijuana for all safety-sensitive employees.
