Your Role: Ambassador of Safety and Refined Service
As a Flight Attendant with Porter, you are entrusted with our passengers' safety and their overall experience. You will expertly balance the strict adherence to safety protocols with the delivery of warm, attentive, and personalized service. Every flight is an opportunity to create a lasting positive impression, manage the cabin with tact, and ensure that every detail reflects our commitment to refinement.
A snapshot of your key duties includes:
- Ensuring the absolute safety and security of all passengers through vigilant adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and Transport Canada regulations.
- Delivering our signature friendly and attentive service in a way that feels effortless and genuine, enhancing passenger comfort throughout the flight.
- Performing essential physical duties, which may include lifting items up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and confidently assisting during any onboard situation.
- Proactively monitoring the cabin environment and adapting your approach to maintain safety and improve the passenger experience.
- Acting as a proud representative of the Porter brand, upholding our uniform and grooming standards, and fostering positive relationships with your crewmates.
- Actively participating in our Safety Management System (SMS) by reporting any hazards and promoting our culture of safety first.
What You Bring to the Journey?
To soar with us, candidates must meet the following essential qualifications:
- Be a minimum of 19 years of age at the time of employment.
- Possess a completed secondary school diploma.
- Be fully fluent in both English and French (mandatory).
- Have at least 2 years of direct customer service experience working with the public.
- Hold a current, valid Canadian Passport, or an International Passport with a valid US Crewmember Visa (C-1/D).
- Be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and pass our company background screening.
- Meet all required medical standards, including passing alcohol and drug tests.
- Commit to successfully completing our full-time, 5-6 week training program with perfect attendance and passing all evaluations.
- Be available to work a rotating reserve schedule that includes weekends, holidays, evenings, and overnights, with the ability to report to your assigned base within two hours' notice.
