Elevate Your Career in Private Aviation: Gulfstream 650 Cabin Attendant – Van Nuys!

Jet Aviation is seeking an exceptional, detail-oriented Cabin Attendant to join our team based in Van Nuys, operating exclusively aboard a Gulfstream 650. This is more than a service role—it's an opportunity to deliver world-class hospitality to discerning clientele in one of the most sophisticated private aviation environments. If you have a passion for culinary excellence, impeccable attention to detail, and the discretion to match, we invite you to bring your expertise to a global leader in business aviation.

Your Role: Curator of the In-Flight Experience

As the sole cabin professional on board, you will be responsible for every facet of the guest journey—from pre-flight preparation to post-landing follow-through. You'll work closely with the Pilot in Command to ensure seamless operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, service, and presentation. On Part 91 flights, you'll also serve as the primary safety resource for passengers, conducting briefings and taking command of the cabin during any emergency situation.

Beyond your flying duties, this role offers variety and responsibility on the ground. You'll manage catering, coordinate with maintenance and cleaning crews, maintain detailed client profiles, oversee inventory, and ensure the aircraft is always impeccably appointed and ready for departure.

    What You'll Be Responsible For?

    Flight Operations & Safety:

    • Collaborate with the Pilot in Command on daily operational needs and flight-specific requirements
    • Conduct thorough preflight inspections of all cabin equipment, systems, and amenities
    • Brief passengers on safety procedures and assist with seating, luggage, and restraint systems as needed
    • Maintain complete readiness to operate all emergency equipment, including fire extinguishers, life rafts, oxygen systems, and AEDs
    • Report any cabin discrepancies or maintenance issues promptly for documentation and resolution

    Service Excellence:

    • Plan, shop for, prepare, and present all meals and beverages with a refined, culinary approach
    • Create beautifully printed menus and weather cards for each flight segment
    • Assist passengers with entertainment systems, high-speed data, and phone capabilities
    • Maintain the cabin's appearance throughout the flight—from bedding and locker areas to lavatory freshness
    • Update client profiles with preferences and provide detailed post-trip reports

    Ground Duties & Administration:

    • Coordinate with cleaning and maintenance teams to ensure the aircraft is flawlessly serviced
    • Develop and maintain vendor relationships for cabin, galley, and lavatory supplies
    • Manage expense accounts and maintain required paperwork, including catering reports
    • Create and maintain an aircraft-specific manual for reference and consistency
    • Attend and remain current with all required training, including annual recurrent safety and medical certifications
    • Potentially supervise or train contract or part-time cabin crew as needed

    What We're Looking For?

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
    • At least 4 years of experience in a similar corporate aviation cabin role
    • Minimum of 2 years culinary and/or fine dining service experience
    • Must be at least 21 years of age
    • Current Flight Safety International or equivalent corporate cabin attendant recurrent training
    • MedAire Management of Inflight Illness and Injury certification or equivalent CPR/AED credentials

The Ideal Candidate Will Also Bring:

    • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
    • A genuine warmth and professionalism that puts passengers at ease
    • Strong project management abilities and attention to the smallest details
    • A deep understanding of the private aviation industry and its expectations
    • An interest in mentoring or supervising others, when needed
    • A quality-driven mindset with a passion for representing Jet Aviation as a true brand ambassador
    • Alignment with Jet Aviation's core values: Trust, Honesty, Alignment, and Transparency

    Physical Requirements

This role is physically engaging. You should be comfortable:

    • Frequently standing, walking, and sitting throughout the flight and during preparations
    • Using hands and fingers to handle, feel, or reach
    • Occasionally climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
    • Lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally—including above your head
    • Demonstrating close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, with strong depth perception and focus adjustment
