Perimeter Aviation is looking for a Flight Attendant based in Thompson, MB. Key Responsibilities:
As a Flight Attendant, you will participate in crew briefings and obtain necessary flight information, conduct pre-flight checks of the aircraft, and ensure that all emergency and safety equipment and commissary are prepared for flight. You will make safety and service announcements or demonstrations, prepare the cabin for take-off and landing, and monitor conditions during the flight. You will offer a selection of snacks and beverages while ensuring the safekeeping of revenues obtained during the flight in an organized and professional manner. You will provide leadership, direction, and assistance to passengers and colleagues, maintain cabin preparation and grooming, complete pre-flight and post-flight paperwork, and stock or re-stock the aircraft commissary. All duties must be performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. You must be able to successfully complete a minimum four-week initial training program, including written and practical exams, demonstrate sensitivity to the unique environmental, cultural, and business needs of diverse northern cultures and communities, assist in the offloading of freight if necessary, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent, with a minimum of one to two years of customer service experience. The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations, and must possess a valid passport. Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training is considered an asset. The candidate must be highly flexible with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic environment, professional and respectful with a positive work attitude, and timely with a high level of commitment to on-time performance. Motivation and the ability to work independently are essential, along with effective verbal and written communication skills. The candidate must be able to handle stressful situations in a calm and effective manner, be customer service-oriented with a commitment to exceptional service, and have proven time management skills with strong attention to detail. A high level of respect, understanding, and regard for First Nations communities is required. The candidate must be physically able to perform all listed job duties, able to travel by aircraft and other means as required by the role, and must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel for extended periods. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, so the candidate must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditions. The role also requires the ability to work independently in a single flight attendant environment and the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
