    Why This Role Matters?

Flight attendants are the face of American Airlines. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating welcoming, memorable experiences for our customers while ensuring the highest level of safety onboard. Beyond the cabin, you’ll be building lifelong skills — leadership, resilience, adaptability — that will serve you in aviation or wherever your career takes you.

    What to Expect?

Your journey begins with a six-week, intensive training program in Dallas/Fort Worth. This program, while unpaid, prepares you to become a certified safety professional and inflight service expert. Once you graduate, you’ll be responsible for:

    • Ensuring customer safety by following FAA regulations and American Airlines procedures
    • Delivering attentive service, from welcoming passengers to serving meals and assisting with special requests
    • Responding to a range of situations with composure — whether it’s turbulence, medical needs, or irregular operations
    • Representing the American Airlines brand with professionalism and pride, both in and out of uniform
    • Managing the demands of a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and reserve duty

    What We’re Looking For?

    • Minimum age of 20 with a high school diploma or GED
    • At least two years of customer service experience in fields like hospitality, retail, food service, or aviation
    • Ability to meet height/weight standards for safe aircraft operation, including sitting in a jump seat and operating emergency exits
    • Valid U.S. or foreign passport (with necessary visas/work authorization) valid through December 2026
    • Willingness to relocate to one of our operational bases and work a flexible schedule
    • Professional appearance in uniform, with no visible tattoos, facial piercings, and no more than one earring per ear

What Will Help You Stand Out?

We’re especially interested in people who remain calm under pressure, thrive in fast-changing situations, and bring genuine warmth to every interaction. If you’re dependable, adaptable, and known for creating positive customer experiences, you’ll feel right at home here.
