This is not your typical cabin crew role. This is an invitation to lead in one of the most extraordinary aviation environments on the planet. White Desert Antarctica is seeking an experienced, composed, and highly professional Senior Cabin Crew Member to oversee our seasonal flight operations from Cape Town to the Great White Continent. If you have a passion for premium service, the ability to lead with confidence, and the resilience to thrive in a truly unique operational setting, we want to hear from you.

Based in Cape Town, South Africa

    Contract Period: 17 August 2026 – 28 February 2027

    About the Role

As Senior Cabin Crew Member, you will be the backbone of our inflight experience, leading and supervising the cabin crew team throughout our seasonal operations. This is a hands-on leadership position that blends operational excellence with world-class service delivery. From meticulous pre-flight preparation to post-flight debriefs, you will ensure every detail aligns with White Desert's exacting safety standards and luxury service expectations. Your base will be Cape Town, but your influence will be felt from the runway to the ice runway.

    What You'll Be Doing?

    • Leadership & Team Supervision: Lead, guide, and support cabin crew members onboard, ensuring seamless teamwork throughout each flight. Champion effective Crew Resource Management (CRM), fostering clear communication and collaboration among crew. Set the standard for service excellence, ensuring every interaction reflects the White Desert ethos.
    • Operational Planning & Coordination: Coordinate crew allocations and ensure all schedules are communicated clearly and timeously. Conduct comprehensive pre-flight briefings, outlining roles, responsibilities, and operational priorities.
    • Pre-Flight Readiness: Oversee sign-on procedures on flight days, including document checks, grooming standards, and regulatory compliance. Ensure the cabin is immaculately prepared—clean, safe, and fully stocked—for every departure.
    • Inflight Service & Compliance: Monitor service delivery throughout the flight, maintaining White Desert's premium cabin standards and addressing any issues promptly. Uphold all safety, security, and health protocols with unwavering attention, ensuring compliance with both company policies and aviation regulations. Collaborate closely with the operator's Senior Cabin Crew Member to guarantee passenger comfort and safety are consistently prioritized.
    • Stock & Financial Administration: Manage inflight stock orders and uplifts to ensure full service readiness for every journey. Handle finance-related tasks, including raising purchase order requests and maintaining accurate documentation.
    • HR Administration & Record Keeping: Maintain precise staff records, invoices, and all relevant HR documentation. Record and file pre-flight and post-flight briefing minutes, ensuring operational transparency.
    • Post-Flight Responsibilities: Lead post-flight debriefs with crew, capturing key insights and feedback. Liaise with the operator's Senior Cabin Crew Member after each flight to ensure all safety, security, and service reports are submitted through the correct channels.
    • Training & Mentorship: Mentor and support junior crew members, guiding them on regulations, company culture, VVIP protocols, and service expectations. Document all mentoring and development activities to support performance and training objectives.
