Keeping Our West Coast Operation Running Smoothly: Inflight Operations Coordinator – Vancouver!
Jazz Aviation is looking for a highly organized, detail-driven, and resourceful professional to join our team in Vancouver as an Inflight Operations Coordinator for the Western region. If you thrive behind the scenes, enjoy solving puzzles, and take pride in helping things run smoothly—this role puts you right at the heart of our inflight operations.
Think of this position as the operational anchor for our Flight Attendants and leadership team. You will not be flying the line yourself, but your work will directly impact every departure, every delay resolution, and every crew member's ability to do their job well. Based out of Vancouver, you will coordinate closely with our Inflight Operations Managers, Regional Managers, and the incredible Flight Attendants who keep our cabins safe and welcoming.
What You Will Actually Be Doing Day to Day?
This is a role for someone who loves variety and can switch between strategic thinking and hands-on problem-solving without missing a beat.
- Delay and Cancellation Follow-Ups: Investigate what caused operational disruptions in the region, identify root causes, and help our team learn from them.
- On-Time Performance (OTP) Support: Guide Flight Attendants on OTP best practices, track trends, and share insights with management to help improve our overall reliability.
- Irregularity and Safety Reports: Manage all inflight and onboard irregularity reports—categorizing, investigating, and responding directly to Flight Attendants as needed.
- Absenteeism Tracking: Monitor absence patterns, flag trends, and support managers in addressing any concerns that may require follow-up.
- Leave Coordination: Manage checklists for all types of leave—MAT, PAT, LOA, STD, LTD, and WCB—ensuring smooth transitions in and out of active duty.
- Base Swap Program: Work with Crew Planning, Labour, and Regional Managers to facilitate crew member requests for base transfers.
- Crew Movement Reporting: Provide monthly reports to Crew Resources to support staffing visibility.
- Investigations: Initiate and help resolve passenger complaints and crew conflict matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Modified Work Program: Administer the Flight Attendant Modified Work program and process related timesheets.
- Uniform Program Management: Be the go-to person for Flight Attendant uniform questions, liaising with Unisync and resolving issues as they arise.
- Inbox and Phone Line Monitoring: Keep on top of the inflight email and phone inquiries, responding to routine requests and directing urgent matters to the right manager.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Act as a liaison between Inflight Services and other departments—from Crew Resources to Safety.
- Line Assessment Paperwork: Prepare assessment documentation for Inflight Operations Managers to support crew evaluations.
