Avianca Is Opening the Sky to New Talent: Apply for Our Cabin Crew Scholarship in Colombia!

Avianca believes that a career in aviation should not be limited by financial circumstances or background. That's why we created "The Sky Belongs to Everyone" — a scholarship program designed to remove barriers and create real opportunities for passionate individuals across Colombia.

If you have ever dreamed of becoming Cabin Crew (TCP) but felt that socioeconomic challenges or belonging to a vulnerable or minority group stood in your way, this is your moment.

We are offering 30 full scholarships to cover your entire training as Cabin Crew. No aviation experience is required. What we truly care about is your genuine desire to serve others and your commitment to building a better future for yourself and your community.

    What We're Looking For?

This program is built on inclusion, but safety and professionalism remain our highest priorities. Applicants must meet the following essential criteria:

    • Be a Colombian citizen, at least 18 years old
    • Hold a valid national ID (Cédula de Ciudadanía)
    • Have completed high school (diploma and graduation certificate required)
    • Have taken the Saber 11 test
    • Be available full-time (8 hours per day), Monday through Saturday, for one year
    • Provide your Sisbén category, active EPS health insurance, and/or official proof of belonging to an indigenous council or community group
    • Submit a clean criminal record certificate from the national police
    • Provide two signed personal references

    Your Personal Video Matters

Instead of a traditional cover letter, we ask you to create a short video of no more than one minute. Simply tell us — in your own words — why you want to become Cabin Crew. Please do not upload this video to social media. Instead, include a viewable link within your CV.

    Documents You'll Need to Submit

Please combine the following into a single PDF file and upload it where the system asks for your CV:

    • Copy of your ID (both sides)
    • Your CV, which must include the link to your 1-minute motivation video
    • Copy of your high school diploma or graduation certificate
    • Your Saber 11 test results
    • Proof of Sisbén category and/or EPS affiliation
    • Criminal record certificate from the national police
    • Two signed personal references

Optional — But Helpful to Share

If you have any of the following, feel free to add them to your PDF:

    • An English language certificate
    • An employment certificate
    • Proof of participation in or support from an NGO, foundation, leadership program, social initiative, or volunteer work
    • A certificate from the Ministry of Interior's Ethnic Affairs Office or your local municipality

    Why Avianca Is Doing This?

We are committed to more than just flying. Avianca actively works to support the economic and social development of the communities we serve across Colombia and beyond. By opening our training programs to a wider range of talented individuals, we strengthen our industry and our country — one scholarship at a time.

    A Final Note on Standards

While this program is inclusive by design, all candidates must still meet the technical and safety standards required of any aviation professional. We do not compromise on safety, quality, or professionalism. We simply believe those qualities can be found in more places than people often expect.

    The Sky Belongs to Everyone

If you are ready to turn your passion for service into a career in the sky, we invite you to apply.

The sky belongs to everyone — and that includes you.
