Your Role: Creating Memorable Journeys for Every Passenger
As Cabin Crew with Air Astra, you'll play a vital role in ensuring every passenger enjoys a safe, comfortable, and pleasant journey. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Attending pre-flight briefings—preparation is essential for a smooth flight
- Welcoming passengers on board and directing them to their seats with warmth and professionalism
- Ensuring that all emergency equipment is in working order prior to takeoff—safety is our priority
- Explaining and demonstrating safety and emergency procedures to passengers clearly and confidently
- Ensuring that all hand luggage is securely stored away
- Checking all passenger seat belts and galleys are secured prior to takeoff and landing
- Providing meal services, cleaning and collecting meal trays from passengers with efficiency and care
- Distributing landing cards and other documentation where necessary
- Ensuring cabin and lavatories are kept clean and tidy at all times
- Administering first aid when required—you're prepared to handle medical situations
- Dealing with emergencies calmly and professionally
- Safeguarding the interest of Air Astra—you're an ambassador of our brand
What We're Looking For?
To join our Cabin Crew team, you'll need to meet the following requirements:
Age Requirements
- Fresher: 18 to 27 years (as on the day of the application deadline)
- Experienced Crew: Up to 35 years (as on the day of the application deadline)
- No affidavit will be accepted
Education Requirements
- SSC: GPA 3.00 out of 5.00 minimum
- HSC or equivalent: GPA 3.00 out of 5.00 minimum
- 'O' Level: Minimum 5 subjects with grade 'C' average
- 'A' Level: Minimum 2 subjects with grade 'C' average
- Diploma Degree: Minimum CGPA 2.80 out of 4.00
- GED is not acceptable
Language Skills
- Fluent in both Bengali and English (written and spoken)—clear communication is essential
Height and Reach Requirements
- Minimum Height:
- Male: 168 cm (5 feet 6 inches)
- Female: 161 cm (5 feet 3 inches)
- Arm reach: 212 cm while standing on tiptoes—to operate safety equipment
Weight Requirements
- Must be proportionate to height
- BMI Range:
- Male: 18–25
- Female: 18–22
Eyesight Requirements
- 6/6 corrected with clear contact lenses only
- Candidates with color blindness will not be considered
Swimming Requirement
- Candidates must know how to swim before On Job Training (OJT)—this is essential for safety
Medical Fitness
- Good physical health and medically fit to meet Cabin Crew requirements
Physical Appearance
- Strong, upright posture
- No visible tattoos or marks on the body
Attitude & Bearing
- Positive and impressive personality
- Appealing and professional demeanor
Residency Requirement
- Must reside adjacent to or around Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA), including areas such as Nikunja, Uttara Model Town from Sector-01 to Sector-18, after joining
