Marabu Airlines, a dynamic and growing leisure airline serving the German market, is seeking a Cabin Crew professional with a minimum of 3 years of flying experience to take on the additional function of Base Manager Cabin in Leipzig (LEJ).

The Role: A Leadership Function Alongside Your Flying Duties
The Base Manager holds an important role within our organisation and acts as a key point of support for the Cabin Crew based in LEJ. You'll be confident in supporting and developing others, handling challenging situations, giving constructive feedback, and working closely with different teams across the organisation.
This is an additional function alongside your Cabin Crew position and reports directly to the Director of Cabin Operations. The function will initially be assigned for a period of one year, with the possibility of continuation based on a performance review.
Workload Distribution
- Approximately 75% flying duties – you'll continue to operate as active Cabin Crew
- Approximately 25% office and base management duties – leadership, administration, and crew support
Your Key Responsibilities
Crew Support and Development
- Support and develop Cabin Crew through regular feedback, coaching, and performance management
- Help maintain consistent safety, service, and operational standards within the base
HR and Employee Relations
- Support crew-related matters, including employee relations, conflict resolution, relevant HR processes, and appropriate documentation
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Participate in Cabin Crew recruitment, selection, onboarding, and upgrade processes
- Support the successful integration and development of crew members
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with Cabin Operations, other departments, HQ in Tallinn, and Base Managers across Marabu to ensure effective communication and consistent implementation of company processes
Base Organisation
- Support the daily organisation of the LEJ base, including crew meetings, local activities, base office responsibilities, and coordination of your Base Manager commitments
Flying Duties
- Continue operating as active Cabin Crew, providing professional passenger service
- Carry out all required safety and security duties
- Support the operating crew and contribute to smooth and efficient cabin operations

Alongside your responsibilities in LEJ, you will also take ownership of one of the responsibilities below and support its consistent implementation across all Marabu bases:
- Cabin Crew Performance Monitoring and Development
- Cabin Operations HR Processes and Crew Management
- Cabin Crew Recruitment and Onboarding

What We're Looking For?
To succeed in this role, you'll need to meet the following requirements:
Certification and Education
- Valid EASA Cabin Crew Attestation – essential
- Completed secondary education – this must be clearly stated in your CV
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of flying experience as Cabin Crew
- Previous experience as a Base Manager or Deputy Base Manager would be highly valued
- Experience in a specialist or management level office position on the ground would also be considered a strong advantage
Right to Work and Travel
- Right to live and work in Germany and the EU
- Availability to travel to Tallinn and other Marabu bases as required
Languages
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- All levels of German are welcome – with a willingness to further develop your German language skills over time
Medical and Background
- Valid aeromedical certificate and ability to swim unassisted
- No criminal record
Base Accessibility
- Ability to reach LEJ airport within 60 minutes at any time
