Skytrans, an Australian airline with a strong connection to the communities we serve, is seeking an experienced and passionate aviation training professional to join our team as Manager Cabin Crew Training & Standards. Reporting to the Head of Training & Checking, you will lead and oversee the Cabin Crew training and standards function, working closely with Flight Operations, Safety, Crew Planning, People & Culture, and other operational stakeholders.

Flexible Location: This role can be based at our headquarters at Cairns Airport, our Southbank office in Brisbane, or we are open to a flexible working arrangement for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Standards Leadership
- Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of Cabin Crew technical, standards, and recurrent training, re-evaluations, and competency assurance activities
- Ensure training is delivered consistently, effectively, and within regulatory and company requirements
- Maintain oversight of Cabin Crew training currency, qualifications, records, and competency requirements
- Ensure training and standards comply with CASA requirements, the Skytrans AOC, approved manuals, policies, and procedures
Regulatory & Compliance
- Support CASA surveillance, audits, and other regulatory activities
- Develop and maintain the Cabin Crew annual and recurrent training program
- Coordinate SEP, CCOP, and associated training courses, resources, instructors, facilities, and equipment
Continuous Improvement
- Review training content, procedures, and supporting documentation to ensure they remain current and effective
- Promote a strong safety culture and support the application of Skytrans' Just Culture principles
Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop Cabin Crew instructors, assessors, and future leaders
- Support workforce capability, succession planning, and operational readiness
About You
We are looking for an experienced aviation training professional who combines strong technical knowledge with genuine leadership capability. The ideal candidate will bring:
Qualifications & Experience
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- A current CASR 121.010 Instrument of Approval
- At least 5 years' experience in training within an operational environment, including assessing development needs and developing training strategies
- Previous airline experience in a learning, training, or development role
- Excellent knowledge of CASA regulations and aviation training requirements

- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate people
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise in a dynamic operational environment
