Emirates is hosting Recruitment Events in multiple cities across Portugal, and we're looking for people who want more from a career than a desk and a commute. If the idea of living in Dubai, flying to over 100 destinations, and delivering world-class service appeals to you, come and meet us in person.
The Day, Start to Finish
- First, we talk. Our recruitment team will explain the role in plain terms—what the job actually involves, what living in Dubai is really like, and what we expect from you.
- Then, we assess. Group activities and an online test at the venue let us see how you work with others and think on your feet.
- Finally, a conversation. If you impress us, we'll invite you to a final interview to explore your motivations and experience.

How to Present Yourself
We're assessing professionalism from the moment you arrive.
- Women: Hair neatly tied back, full makeup, business attire, heels.
- Men: Neatly presented hair, clean shaven, suit or smart business attire, formal work shoes.
The Essentials
- 21 or older
- High school education (Grade 12) or equivalent
- At least one year in hospitality or customer service
- Fluent written and spoken English (other languages welcome)
- A team player with a personality that stands out
- Minimum 160 cm tall, able to reach 212 cm
- Eligible for a UAE employment visa
- No visible tattoos in Emirates uniform
The Numbers
Your package is built from three parts: a fixed basic salary of AED 4,980 per month, flying pay of AED 69.6 per hour (averaging 80–100 hours monthly), and an overseas meal allowance. In practice, this averages around AED 11,244 per month (approximately USD 3,061) for Grade II Economy Class. Night-stop meal allowances are credited the following month, and the company covers hotel accommodation and airport transport.
Beyond the Pay Slip
- Travel: Concessional staff tickets on Emirates, plus inter-airline agreements for other carriers
- Housing: Free furnished accommodation with utilities included—your own bedroom in a shared two- or three-bedroom apartment
- Getting around: Company transport to and from work and the Training College
- Time off: 30 calendar days of annual leave, plus a free annual ticket home (changeable to any Emirates destination after your first year)
- Security: 24-hour worldwide life and personal accident insurance, medical and dental care at Emirates Clinics, and a non-contributory end-of-service benefit when your contract concludes
A few house rules worth knowing: after probation you can request an apartment move subject to availability, visitors aren't permitted past 01:00 unless they're Emirates crew, and family can stay with you twice a year for up to 30 days per visit.
