Join Our Phoenix Crew: Flight Attendant at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport!
Contour Airlines is looking for a poised, safety-focused, and genuinely caring Flight Attendant to join our team based at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. If you take pride in keeping people safe while making them feel welcomed and well cared for, this could be the perfect fit. We operate in a fast-paced regional aviation environment where every flight is an opportunity to leave a lasting positive impression.
What You'll Be Doing: Safety Meets Warmth
As a Contour Flight Attendant, your number one job is ensuring the safety and security of every passenger onboard. But that's only part of the story. You'll also be the person who makes our travelers feel at ease—whether they're heading home, visiting family, or traveling for work. From conducting safety demonstrations to serving meals and drinks with a smile, you'll balance professionalism with genuine hospitality on every flight.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:
- Putting safety and passenger comfort above everything else, every single flight.
- Welcoming passengers, helping with luggage storage in overhead bins, and ensuring a smooth boarding process.
- Providing extra attention and assistance to those who need it most—unaccompanied minors, elderly travelers, and passengers with disabilities.
- Preparing and serving meals, snacks, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Staying calm and effective during emergencies, including guiding evacuations, administering CPR or first aid, and following flight deck instructions precisely.
- Making clear public announcements and conducting safety demonstrations that passengers can easily understand.
- Completing reports and documentation for any incidents, safety issues, or service-related matters.
- Keeping the cabin, galley, and lavatories clean and orderly throughout and after each flight.
- Operating galley equipment, service carts, and in-flight entertainment systems independently.
- Working closely with the Pilot-in-Command and fellow crew members as a reliable teammate.
What You'll Need to Bring?
We're looking for someone who is ready to commit to high standards, long hours, and the rewarding lifestyle of a regional flight attendant. Here are the must-haves:
- Age: At least 23 years old.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Documents: Valid driver's license with a clean record, plus a valid passport.
- Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to travel internationally.
- Language: Fluent English (bilingual skills are a nice bonus but not required).
- Residency: Must live within one hour of your assigned domicile (Phoenix).
- Training: Successful completion of Contour's four-week Flight Attendant Initial Training Program.
- Background Checks: Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and ongoing random tests, plus a 10-year background check, criminal history review, fingerprinting, and reference checks.
- Physical Abilities:
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs (with or without accommodation).
- Able to push/pull food and beverage carts requiring up to 32 lbs of force.
- Able to operate and secure aircraft doors weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Comfortable with frequent walking, bending, reaching above shoulder height, and retrieving items from bins up to 67 inches from the floor.
- Schedule Flexibility: Ready to work variable schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and duty periods up to 16 hours.
Beyond the Basics: The Personal Qualities That Matter
We're also looking for someone who naturally brings:
- A polished, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
- Strong interpersonal skills—you enjoy working with all kinds of personalities in a close team environment.
- The ability to stay positive under pressure and adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, delivered with tact and professionalism.
- Organizational skills to juggle multiple priorities without losing attention to detail.
- Self-motivation that inspires those around you.
