Jet Linx is looking for a polished and professional Air Host/Hostess to join our team on a contract basis in Omaha. This role is all about creating a seamless and enjoyable experience for our passengers, ensuring their comfort from the moment they step onboard until they land. While safety remains the responsibility of qualified crewmembers, you’ll play a key part in setting the tone for service and hospitality at altitude.
What You’ll Be Doing?
Every flight is different, and that’s what makes this role so dynamic. You’ll be the go-to person for passenger service—whether it’s preparing and presenting meals, assisting with boarding, or helping with luggage. You’ll support the flight crew as needed and always maintain a calm, professional presence, even in high-pressure situations. Depending on the flight, you may also occupy the jump seat or a passenger seat during takeoff and landing, following the captain’s instructions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering personalized food and beverage service, including ordering, preparation, and presentation
- Assisting crew with passenger boarding, seating arrangements, and baggage stowage
- Supporting the flight crew with inflight needs and operational tasks
- Maintaining discretion and professionalism in all situations
- Adapting quickly to changing schedules, procedures, and environments
What We’re Looking For
This position is ideal for someone with a background in hospitality, customer service, or aviation who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys making people feel at ease. Strong interpersonal skills are essential—you’ll interact with passengers and crew from all walks of life, often in close quarters.
Qualifications You’ll Need:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in customer service (aviation or hospitality experience preferred)
- Certifications: CPR, First Aid, and AED certification
- Professionalism: Ability to remain calm, composed, and professional in any situation
- Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility: Ability to work irregular hours and adapt to changing schedules
- Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Training: Completed Hazardous Materials and TSA 12-5 Security Program
- Technical: Familiarity with aircraft cabin systems and emergency equipment (via Asset Training within 12 months)
- Preferred: A college degree and fluency in multiple languages are a plus
Physical Requirements
This role requires mobility and stamina. You should be able to lift up to 30–40 lbs, move comfortably around the cabin, and adapt to different environmental conditions while performing the physical demands of the job, including standing, sitting, walking, and assisting passengers.
