Akasa Air will be conducting a Cabin Crew Recruitment Drive in Mumbai by invitation only. This is a unique opportunity to become a brand ambassador for Akasa Air, delivering outstanding service to passengers while ensuring their safety, security, and comfort throughout the journey.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Cabin Crew, you will be expected to strictly adhere to and remain conversant and compliant with standard operating procedures as outlined by the Government, DGCA, and company manuals. You must maintain current knowledge of rules, regulations, and procedures for aircraft operations while keeping up to date with the latest safety and service circulars, notices, procedures, campaigns, and promotions. A professional image and strict adherence to the company’s grooming and turnout standards are essential both during duty and on layovers. You will be responsible for the validity and timely renewal of all mandatory and regulatory training and documents. Conducting inflight sales to boost ancillary revenue is a key part of the role, and you are expected to actively promote the airline and its offerings to enhance the Akasa Air customer experience. Efficient and consistent service delivery is vital to meet and exceed customer expectations, with particular attention given to passengers requiring special assistance, such as those with reduced mobility, elderly passengers, unaccompanied minors, and mothers with infants or children. You must make every effort to ensure passenger comfort and demonstrate genuine care, maintaining visible enthusiasm and a passion for customer service. A detailed galley handover is necessary, ensuring all sales stock, pre-booked meals, and catering supplies are as per the documentation. Maintaining positive and proactive engagement with customers is essential to uphold good public relations and embody the airline brand. Punctuality and maintaining on-time performance are also your responsibilities. High self-discipline and adherence to the cabin crew code of conduct are required, with a focus on safety, security, and customer comfort. You will be accountable for checking, safeguarding, and returning all company equipment and unused catering supplies, as well as ensuring cleanliness and tidiness throughout the aircraft, including cabins, lavatories, and galleys. Monitoring the cabin during flight and reporting all issues, discrepancies, non-compliances, and defects to the Inflight Manager is expected. You will make relevant announcements as defined in the announcement manual, if authorized, and complete all pre-flight and post-flight duties. Your role also includes recommending changes to improve service delivery, product design, and efficiency based on feedback. Practicing effective Crew Resource Management (CRM) is crucial to coordinate with the cockpit crew and related departments such as Airport Services, catering, and security, and you are encouraged to assist colleagues beyond the call of duty.
Requirements
The successful candidate must be an Indian national between the ages of 18 to 28 years if applying as a fresher with no prior flying experience, and must hold a valid Passport, PAN Card, and Aadhar Card. A minimum education of 10+2 (Class 12th) is required, along with fluency in both English and Hindi. The minimum height requirement is 155 cm for females and 167.5 cm for males, with weight proportionate to height and a BMI range of 18–23 for females and 18–25 for males. Candidates must be medically fit as per DGCA guidelines, have no visible tattoos or marks, and be prepared for a job that involves travel, long working hours, and shift duties.
