    As a Cabin Crew member, you are responsible for ensuring cabin safety and delivering excellent customer service on Finnair flights.     What Is Required to Become a Cabin Crew Member at Finnair?

    To join our team, you'll need to meet the following requirements:

    Age and Education

    • Age: At least 18 years old
    • Education: Secondary education completed (upper secondary/vocational school)

    Language Skills

    • Fluency in English—essential for communication with passengers and crew
    • Fluency in Finnish is highly valued—additional languages are an advantage

    Physical Requirements

    • Height: Minimum 160 cm and ability to reach 218 cm barefoot
    • Swimming: Ability to swim 40 meters
    • Vision: Normal colour vision and normal hearing; distant visual acuity using both eyes 0.7 or better (with or without corrective lenses)
    • Health: Good general health and the ability to work irregular hours and night shifts, including coping with stress related to circadian disruption. Minimum requirement EASA Part Med Cabin Crew and Finnair regulations.

    Experience

    • At least 1 year of experience in hospitality or customer service

    Appearance

    • Tattoos and Piercings: When wearing a uniform, all visible tattoos must be fully covered, and all visible piercings must be removed (excluding earrings)

    Background and Documentation

    • Clean criminal record
    • Valid EU, EEA, or Swiss passport allowing free worldwide travel
    • Eligible to live and work permanently in Finland and arrive at Helsinki Airport within one hour when on stand-by

    Training Before Employment

    • Training Course: 6-9 weeks (non-paid)
    • Attendance: 100% on-site attendance at our training facilities in Vantaa is required
    • Prerequisite: Successfully passed cabin crew training is a prerequisite for employment
    • Training Begins: Gradually at the beginning of 2027

    Hiring Process

    • Pre-employment security clearance
    • Medical examination, including a drug test
