Join Qatar Airways as a Welfare and Support Officer

At Qatar Airways, we believe that caring for our people is just as important as caring for our passengers. Our Cabin Crew are the face of the airline — and behind their professionalism and poise is a dedicated team that ensures their well-being every step of the way. We’re looking for a Welfare and Support Officer to join our Cabin Services division in Doha, where you’ll play a key role in supporting our crew through both personal and professional challenges.

    About the Role

As a Welfare and Support Officer, you’ll be a trusted point of contact for Cabin Crew, offering guidance, counselling, and administrative support whenever they need it. You’ll handle welfare matters with discretion, compassion, and professionalism — whether it’s assisting with illness, helping resolve workplace concerns, or connecting individuals to the right internal resources.

Your role will also include monitoring crew absences, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all parties involved — from HR to medical teams — remain informed and aligned. Most importantly, you’ll help foster a supportive culture that prioritizes the mental and emotional well-being of our Cabin Crew community.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide welfare support and counselling to Cabin Crew experiencing illness, personal issues, or professional challenges
    • Offer guidance and follow-up on absences related to health or availability for duty
    • Serve as a liaison between Cabin Crew and internal departments to help resolve issues effectively and confidentially
    • Coordinate with external parties when needed to ensure crew receive proper assistance
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of welfare cases and administrative tasks
    • Support department operations with professional communication, reporting, and documentation
    • Act as an advocate for Cabin Crew welfare, helping to maintain high morale and motivation across the team

What You Bring to the Role?

    • Bachelor’s degree (minimum of 3 years of relevant experience) or a diploma/high school qualification (minimum of 4 years of relevant experience)
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with people empathetically and confidentially
    • Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities, with a thoughtful approach to sensitive matters
    • Excellent English skills, both spoken and written
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications
    • Previous Cabin Crew experience is an advantage
    • Counselling or welfare background is highly desirable
    • A valid Qatar driving license is preferred
    • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as part of a roster system

    Why Join Us?

This is a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who represent one of the world’s leading airlines. You’ll work in a diverse, dynamic environment where empathy, trust, and professionalism come together. At Qatar Airways, every journey — for our passengers and our people — begins with care.
