We are seeking a visionary and experienced leader to step into the pivotal role of Senior Manager, Cabin Crew, based at our headquarters in Bahrain. You will be the strategic leader responsible for the entire Cabin Crew Department. Your core mission is to ensure seamless, safe, and exceptional in-flight operations that align with Gulf Air's corporate objectives. Your Role: Leadership with a Purpose
In this senior role, you will be the architect of our cabin service culture and operations. You will translate the airline's vision into actionable strategies, ensuring every flight reflects our commitment to safety, hospitality, and brand excellence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic direction and oversight for all cabin crew activities, from daily operations to long-term planning.
- Developing and implementing policies, standards, and procedures that ensure unwavering compliance with GCAA and international safety and security regulations.
- Acting as a key leader in safety management, working closely with Flight Operations and Safety & Security post holders to mitigate risks.
- Championing our brand and service strategy onboard, ensuring every aspect of the inflight experience meets our corporate and marketing objectives.
- Leading the development of our cabin crew community—from recruitment and training standards to performance management, career development, and morale.
- Managing the department's capital, operating, and manpower budgets with fiscal acumen, driving efficiency without compromising quality.
- Fostering a positive, high-performance work environment that promotes pride, teamwork, and reduces turnover.
- Serving as the primary leader for the cabin crew department in any crisis or emergency situation, including acting as the cabin crew lead in our Emergency Response Plan.
- Directing the cabin crew manpower planning to meet operational needs while supporting our corporate diversity and inclusion goals.
The Leader We Are Looking For
We are looking for a seasoned aviation professional who combines deep operational knowledge with exceptional leadership gravitas.
Your background should include:
- A university degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive airline industry experience, with a proven track record in senior leadership, communication, and strategic management.
- A strong understanding of safety management systems (SMS) and regulatory compliance within a complex airline environment.
- The innate capability to manage, motivate, and develop a large, diverse, and multicultural team.
- Financial and business acumen, with experience in budgeting, KPI setting, and resource management.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and the composure to lead effectively under pressure.
- While not a strict requirement, direct cabin crew experience is a significant advantage, as it brings an invaluable perspective to this leadership role.
