Based at our headquarters in Hafnarfjörður, you will be a cornerstone of our crew leadership team. You'll act as a crucial link between our cabin crew, the Director of Inflight Operations, and the broader People & Culture department. Your Mission: Lead, Support, and Inspire!
In this hands-on management role, you will be entrusted with the daily leadership and people operations for our cabin crew team. You'll be responsible for one of Iceland's largest and most visible recruitment campaigns, turning thousands of applications into a team of talented aviation professionals. Your day-to-day will blend strategic support with practical leadership, fostering an environment where our crew can thrive.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Providing daily guidance and support to active cabin crew, serving as a trusted advisor on people-related matters and professional development.
- Leading the full cycle of cabin crew recruitment—from initial attraction and screening to onboarding—ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
- Conducting meaningful employee meetings, delivering constructive feedback, and facilitating training sessions to promote growth and excellence.
- Managing and maintaining precise people data in our internal systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinating key people objectives and actively participating in initiatives to continuously improve our crew's work environment and operational processes.
- Acting as a communication hub, ensuring clear information flow between crew, management, and the People & Culture department.
What You Bring to Our Team?
We are looking for a natural leader who combines formal expertise with genuine empathy and drive. The ideal candidate is someone who builds trust easily and operates with both structure and heart.
Your qualifications should include:
- A relevant university degree (e.g., in Human Resource Management, Work and Organisational Psychology, or Business Administration).
- Solid experience (2-3 years minimum) in a human resources or people operations role, with a proven track record in employee relations and support.
- An unwavering service mindset and outstanding communication skills, with the ability to connect with individuals at all levels.
- Experience in designing and delivering engaging presentations and training sessions.
- Highly structured working methods, strong personal initiative, and the ability to drive projects to completion.
- Advanced computer skills. Familiarity with design tools like Canva for creating engaging recruitment and internal communications materials is a distinct advantage.
- Full professional proficiency in both Icelandic and English, written and spoken.
