Solairus Aviation is hiring a full-time Flight Attendant for an operation based at Waterbury-Oxford Airport in Oxford, Connecticut. What You'll Be Doing?
In the Air
- Deliver a high level of service to clients, ensuring the safety and comfort of everyone on board
- Direct and assist passengers during emergencies, remaining calm and decisive
- Administer basic first aid, including CPR and AED, when needed
- Secure the cabin in compliance with federal regulations before takeoff and landing
- Reassure passengers during turbulence or other unsettling moments
Before and After Every Flight
- Conduct thorough preflight briefings
- Verify that food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, emergency equipment, and supplies are on board and sufficient for the trip
- Shop for items specially requested by passengers
- Inspect, clean, and stock the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after each leg—ensuring the aircraft is always pristine and ready
- Complete preflight, in-flight, and post-flight paperwork with accuracy
- Operate audio and video systems seamlessly
Throughout the Journey
- Conduct periodic cabin checks to ensure passenger comfort and cleanliness
What You Bring?
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
- First Aid Training Certification
- 5+ years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant
- Flight attendant-specific training from FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar preferred—annual recurrent training required
- Candidates without formal flight attendant training may be considered based on other qualifications but must attend initial training before flight assignment
- Preference given to candidates who completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar training within the past 12 months
- Technological savviness—comfortable with modern aircraft systems
- Flexibility and patience—you adapt with grace
- Culinary skills and culinary-specific training—you can create exceptional dining experiences at altitude
- Ability to manage a constantly changing schedule and late-night flights
- Availability to fly on short notice (2-3 hour response if on standby)
- Unrestricted ability to travel worldwide (consider health and visa status)
- Ability to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days
- Proficiency operating all features of the Cabin Management Systems, galley equipment, and cabin features—including berthing seats and configuring the divan into a bed
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- High attention to detail—nothing escapes your notice
- College degree preferred
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages preferred
- Experience with small children preferred
Physical Requirements
- Vision: Correctable to 20/20 or better with glasses or contact lenses; uncorrected vision no worse than 20/20. Must be able to read reports, charts, manage post-flight paperwork, and use a computer, smartphone, and/or iPad.
- Hearing/Speaking: Must speak clearly and have adequate hearing to communicate effectively over the phone and in person with clients, co-workers, and pilots—even during flight.
- Standing/Walking: Physically capable of walking and standing without assistance for up to 14 hours with limited sitting. Must work long hours in various climates.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: Must kneel in the luggage compartment to load trip supplies and luggage. Must maneuver in tight confinements within the aircraft.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: Must push open and pull closed the main cabin door, which weighs up to 130 pounds. Must write, type, use a computer and phone, and prepare, cook, and serve food and beverages. Must lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to waist high repeatedly.

Compensation
Solairus collects salary range information based on market conditions from multiple industry sources. Solairus crewmembers are paid $50,000 to $500,000 based on geographic area, experience, equipment type/aircraft, job duties, training, and the assigned account.
