A Rare Opportunity: Lead G550 Cabin Attendant for a Discerning Private Owner – Based in Van Nuys!
Silver Air Private Jets is seeking an exceptional Lead Cabin Attendant to join a dedicated Gulfstream G550 account, based out of our Van Nuys headquarters. This role is not for someone looking for routine service work. Instead, it is designed for a polished, passionate aviation service professional who genuinely loves the art of hospitality—from curating a perfectly paired wine flight to plating a restaurant-quality meal at 41,000 feet.
The ownership group behind this account has a deep appreciation for gastronomy, global travel, and effortless, elevated service. They are looking for someone who anticipates preferences before they are spoken, takes pride in designing thoughtful menus, and treats every flight as an opportunity to create a memorable, refined experience. If you are energized by international travel—this account operates frequently across Europe and Mexico—and you thrive in a collaborative, close-knit crew environment, this could be the career-defining role you have been seeking.
What Makes This Role Different?
This is a dedicated, full-time placement. We are looking for someone who wants to own an account, build consistency over the long term, and deliver an impeccable service standard flight after flight. You will integrate seamlessly with an established flight crew, working as a true partner in safety, comfort, and discretion. A globally minded, culturally aware, and adaptable approach is essential, as is the ability to perform beyond traditional cabin responsibilities.
Because operational efficiency matters, candidates must be based within a one to two hour drive of our Van Nuys headquarters.
What You Will Do Every Day?
Your work begins long before takeoff. You will be the person responsible for ensuring the cabin feels like a home away from home—pristine, perfectly stocked, and thoughtfully prepared for every guest.
On any given flight, your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting guests with genuine warmth and ensuring they feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they step aboard.
- Anticipating needs proactively, whether that means having a favorite beverage ready, adjusting cabin ambiance, or offering amenities before a guest asks.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections of the galley, cabin, and crew areas, making sure everything is secure, spotless, and ready for departure.
- Managing all catering and provisioning, ordering fresh, high-quality ingredients and essentials tailored to each specific trip.
- Presenting food and beverages with restaurant-level attention to plating, aesthetics, and timing, even in the unique constraints of an airborne galley.
- Maintaining impeccable organization and cleanliness throughout the flight, ensuring a calm and inviting environment at all times.
- Collaborating closely with the flight crew, following instructions seamlessly, and contributing to a smooth, professional onboard dynamic.
- Upholding every safety and compliance standard with the same seriousness you bring to service excellence.
The Background We Are Looking For
This role requires a mature, polished professional who has spent time in premium service environments and understands what VVIP clients expect—and how to exceed those expectations without being intrusive.
To be considered, you will need:
- At least five years of experience as a corporate cabin attendant or in a comparable luxury aviation role.
- Demonstrated expertise in high-end food and beverage service, including plating techniques, display aesthetics, and a solid understanding of wine, cocktails, and gastronomy.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- A resourceful, solution-oriented mindset—things change quickly in private aviation, and you will need to adapt creatively.
- Outstanding organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, from silverware alignment to galley inventory.
- An intuitive, emotionally intelligent approach to service, reading the room and responding to unspoken needs.
- An unwavering commitment to your own professional appearance and presentation.

- Ongoing personal development and employee assistance programs.
- Competitive salary ($100,000 - $130,000 / year)
