Join Solairus Aviation as a Gulfstream G550 Flight Attendant – Based in San Jose, CA!

Solairus Aviation is seeking an experienced, polished, and highly capable Flight Attendant to join a prestigious Gulfstream G550 operation based at San Jose's KSJC. This is not a typical flight attendant role—it's for someone who genuinely loves food, thrives on delivering five-star service at 45,000 feet, and embraces the unpredictable rhythm of private aviation. If you're a flexible problem-solver who can go from arranging gourmet meals to securing a cabin in turbulence within the same hour, this could be your perfect fit.

What You'll Be Doing Day to Day?

You'll be the sole cabin professional responsible for creating a seamless, safe, and deeply personalized experience for passengers. From the moment guests step aboard, your focus will be on their safety, comfort, and enjoyment. That means greeting them warmly, explaining safety equipment with clarity, and ensuring every detail—from the temperature of the cabin to the plating of a meal—feels effortless.

    Your core responsibilities will include:

    • Leading with safety at every stage: conducting preflight briefings, directing passengers during emergencies, and keeping the cabin secure in full compliance with federal regulations.
    • Staying calm and reassuring during turbulence or any unexpected situation, helping passengers feel at ease no matter what.
    • Administering basic first aid, CPR, or using an AED if a medical situation arises onboard.
    • Making sure the aircraft is always fully prepared—checking that food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, and emergency equipment are stocked and ready for each trip.
    • Shopping for special items requested by passengers, from a favorite snack to a specific wine or ingredient.
    • Cleaning and restocking the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after every leg, ensuring the jet is always guest-ready.
    • Completing all preflight, in-flight, and post-flight paperwork accurately.
    • Operating audio, video, and cabin management systems, including berthing seats and configuring the divan into a bed.
    • Handling all galley equipment with confidence.

What You Bring to the Team?

We're looking for a true professional who has honed their craft in corporate aviation. The ideal candidate will have:

    • At least 5 years of experience as a Corporate Flight Attendant.
    • A real passion for food and culinary skills—advanced culinary training is strongly preferred. You should enjoy cooking, plating beautifully, and thinking about flavor.
    • First Aid Training Certification and knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
    • Formal flight attendant training from FlightSafety, FACTs, or a similar program. Annual recurrent training is required. (If you don't yet have formal training but are otherwise highly qualified, we may still consider you—but you must complete initial training before any flight assignment.)
    • Preference given to candidates who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar training within the last 12 months.
    • Technological savvy—you'll work with iPad devices, cabin management systems, and various onboard technologies.
    • Genuine flexibility and patience. Private aviation schedules shift constantly, and you may be asked to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days.
    • The ability to fly on very short notice—a 2–3 hour response time if you're on standby.
    • An unrestricted ability to travel worldwide (please consider your health and visa status before applying).
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a very high level of attention to detail.
    • A college degree is preferred.
    • Fluency in one or more foreign languages is a strong advantage.
    • Experience working with small children is also a plus.

Physical Requirements – Please Read Carefully

This role is physically demanding. You must be able to:

    • Correct your vision to 20/20 or better with glasses or contacts (uncorrected vision no worse than 20/200).
    • Speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, and pilots—even in a noisy, in-flight environment.
    • Stand for up to 14 hours with limited ability to sit, and work long hours in various climates.
    • Kneel in the luggage compartment to load supplies and bags.
    • Maneuver comfortably within tight spaces inside the aircraft.
    • Push open and pull closed the main cabin door, which weighs up to 130 pounds.
    • Lift supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to waist height, repeatedly.
    • Write, type, use a computer and phone, and prepare, cook, and serve food and beverages.
