Join the Red Hot Team: Virgin Atlantic Cabin Crew – Based in India!
Locations: Delhi (DEL), Mumbai (BOM), Bengaluru (BLR)
Virgin Atlantic is growing our presence in India, and we're looking for warm, intuitive, and exceptional people to join our Cabin Crew family across Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. This isn't just a job in the sky—it's a chance to bring the very best of Indian hospitality to customers from around the world, all while wearing that iconic red uniform.
If you're someone who naturally notices the little things, takes pride in making people feel seen and cared for, and wants to represent a truly bold and beloved global brand, this could be your moment. Over the years, thousands of crew members have started this journey and watched their careers soar. We'd love you to be next.
What Your Days Will Look Like
Once you step into that uniform, you become the heartbeat of our cabins—bringing Virgin Atlantic's famous spirit to life on every single flight.
Your role will include:
- Delivering safety, security, and top-notch operational excellence from takeoff to landing
- Working closely with a tight-knit, high-energy cabin team where your personality and flair are not just welcomed—they're celebrated
- Creating genuine, feel-good customer moments that make flying with us unforgettable
- Looking after our customers' wellbeing—whether that means comforting a nervous flyer, assisting someone with medical or mobility needs, or simply offering a reassuring smile
- Making every journey fun, inclusive, and unmistakably Virgin Atlantic
No two flights are ever the same. And honestly? That's exactly how we like it.
About You
We're on a mission to become the most loved travel company in the world—and our people are at the heart of that. We're looking for individuals who truly understand that cultural awareness is everything when it comes to creating meaningful, personal experiences for our customers.
You take genuine pride in delivering outstanding service rooted in the warmth and authenticity of Indian hospitality. You bring a positive, can-do energy to everything you do. And if that sounds like you, we'll take care of the rest.
To be successful in your application and training, you'll need:
- The right to live and work in India (where this role is based)
- No live or unspent criminal convictions or pending cases
- The ability to swim 25 metres unaided and climb from the water into a raft using a rope ladder without help
- At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role at the time you apply
- Successful completion of Higher Secondary Education (10+2) from a recognised board
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Language fluency in Hindi (for Mumbai and Delhi roles) or Kannada (for Bengaluru roles)
Safety-critical requirements – please read carefully
Because safety is always our first priority, you must be able to:
- Safely handle the physical demands of pushing, pulling, lifting, reaching, and moving equipment or people in both normal and emergency situations
- Communicate clearly, hear accurately, and respond quickly in safety-critical moments—even in noisy environments, while wearing protective gear, or facing physical barriers
- Read, interpret, and follow safety and medical information, including small text and digital displays, even in low-light or emergency conditions
- Stand and walk unaided for extended periods (minimum 8 hours) while staying alert and maintaining safety awareness
- Work safely in confined aircraft spaces, including serving hot items, using clear verbal and physical communication, and moving through restricted areas
- Respond immediately and effectively to medical and safety emergencies, including performing first aid, CPR, and evacuation procedures
- Safely handle and serve our full menu—including beverages with alcohol, and food items such as meat (pork, chicken, beef), fish, vegetarian and vegan dishes, including all allergens and religious offerings
- Travel freely across our entire route network without restriction, meeting all visa, entry, and health requirements
When we meet you in person, we'll also check that you can:
- Reach up to 210cm without shoes, with both arms extended (standing on tiptoes is fine). This is the height of our overhead lockers where we store emergency equipment
- Adopt the brace position in a 45cm-high seat with your feet flat on the floor (without shoes) and comfortably secure your harness without needing a seatbelt extension
If this sounds like you, we'd genuinely love to hear from you.
Training – What to Expect?
We take your journey with us seriously, and we invest in your development so you can truly thrive. Our training programme is thorough, intense, and incredibly rewarding—but it takes real dedication to complete.
Your training begins with a 'First Dates' initiation day at our vibrant head office. From there, the in-person course runs for five weeks, split into key subject areas: Safety and Security, Safety Equipment and Procedures, Aviation Medicine, and Service. You can expect classroom sessions, practical drills (including a swimming component), daily tests, exams, and final assessments.
Before you start the practical training, you'll need to complete seven online modules—each about an hour long—to build a solid foundation.
To graduate at your Wings ceremony, you'll need to pass your training exams. After that? The sky really is the limit. You'll put everything you've learned into practice and take off. We know you'll have plenty of questions along the way, and we'll be there to answer every single one.
Even our most experienced crew keep learning on the job. That's what keeps things interesting.
What's in It for You?
Your benefits package includes financial perks, health and wellbeing support, and—of course—some incredible travel benefits.
- Industry-leading staff travel for you and your loved ones, including up to seven free flights a year to any of our destinations (you just pay the fees and taxes, which vary by destination)
- Ongoing coaching and development throughout your career with your dedicated crew performance manager
- Company-funded private medical insurance and life assurance
- Access to online digital GP through Doctor@Hand
- Discounted products and services across a wide range of brands
