Join Our Inflight Support Team: Staff Assistant I at American Airlines (DFW)!

American Airlines is looking for a detail-oriented, people-friendly Staff Assistant I to join our Inflight group in Fort Worth, Texas. This role is the backbone of our daily flight operations—supporting Flight Attendants and Inflight management so they can focus on what they do best: delivering a safe and welcoming experience for our passengers. If you enjoy solving problems, helping people, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, this could be your perfect fit.

What You'll Be Doing Day to Day?

You'll be based at our Crew Service Center, where your primary focus is assisting Flight Attendants with a wide range of administrative and operational needs. No two days look exactly the same, but here's a sense of what you can expect:

    • Being a friendly, knowledgeable first point of contact for Flight Attendants—answering their questions in person or over the phone
    • Handling expense reimbursements, sorting mail, and managing FEDEX packages
    • Providing hands-on support for company tablets at the Crew Service Centers
    • Helping coordinate practical needs like Flight Attendant parking and Crew IDs
    • Keeping crew rooms organized and stocked with supplies, while maintaining the digital e-board
    • Working closely with Flight Attendants throughout your shift to resolve questions and coordinate solutions
    • Assisting Operations Coordinators with all kinds of Inflight operational tasks
    • Checking that office and crew room computers and equipment are functioning properly
    • Stepping in to handle administrative functions when an Operations Coordinator isn't available

What You Bring to the Team?

    Minimum requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • At least 2 years of experience working with PC, Sabre, DECS, and RES systems

Preferred background (not required, but a plus):

    • Current or previous experience in Inflight or Crew Scheduling

    Important skills and qualities:

    • Strong independent judgment and decision-making ability
    • Experience working with contract labor groups
    • Willingness to work all shifts, including holidays and overtime as needed—this role requires rotating shifts and days off
    • Ability to pass FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
