Your Journey Begins Here
No prior aviation experience? No problem. You’ll receive world-class training at our Houston, TX facility — six and a half weeks of immersive instruction that covers safety, service, and everything that makes United a leader in the skies.
During training, you’ll receive a weekly stipend of $140, plus shared hotel accommodation, breakfast, and one additional meal each day. Once you successfully complete training, you’ll be officially welcomed as a full-time United Flight Attendant and assigned to one of our base locations in the U.S. (please note: relocation assistance is not provided).

What Makes You a Great Fit?
You’re the kind of person who thrives in a dynamic, people-centered role. You have a calm, professional presence even under pressure and a natural ability to make others feel comfortable.
You’ll need to:
- Be 21 years or older
- Have a high school diploma or GED (college coursework preferred)
- Bring at least 1 year of customer service experience (hospitality, retail, education, or similar fields)
- Be fluent in Dutch and English — both written and spoken
- Hold a valid passport with at least 18 months before expiration and the ability to travel freely to all United destinations
- Meet FAA physical and background standards, including hearing, vision, and reach requirements
- Present a professional image, following uniform and grooming standards (visible tattoos are permitted within United’s updated guidelines)
This job demands flexibility. Our routes span the globe, which means you’ll work varied hours — nights, weekends, and holidays — and occasionally be away from your base for several days.
