Avelo Airlines is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Flight Attendants to join its dedicated team of safety and service professionals. As a new, high-value, low-fare airline, Avelo is committed to inspiring travel and making a positive impact in the communities it serves.
As a Flight Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, welfare, and comfort of all passengers and crew members. This includes responding effectively to in-flight emergencies and contributing to smooth flight operations. You will also be tasked with completing incident reports, creating a positive customer experience, and adhering to federal regulations. Additionally, you will attend training to maintain qualifications, stay updated on company materials, and build customer loyalty through teamwork and exceptional service. Finally, you will serve as a customer service, marketing, and public relations ambassador for Avelo.
All applicant must be willing and able to travel to and from both HVN (New Haven) and BDL (Hartford) airports, either by living within a two-hour driving distance or relocating.
Benefits and Perks
Avelo Flight Attendants enjoy competitive compensation that includes a starting hourly wage of $28, with a guaranteed minimum of 75 hours per month. Those in lead roles receive an additional $2 per hour. Additionally, flight attendants receive a per diem of $2.25 per hour while on duty at the airport or flying. Other benefits include premium pay as applicable and holiday pay for designated company holidays.
Requirements
To be eligible for this position, candidates must be at least 21 years old, have reliable transportation, and be able to successfully complete all required training. They must also be willing to relocate to a base assignment at their own expense, work a flexible schedule with variable hours, and maintain a professional appearance. Candidates must adhere to all regulatory requirements, including drug and alcohol screenings, and be able to serve all types of food and beverages. Must possess a valid United States passport or foreign passport with applicable visas, have the right to travel freely in and out of the United States, and be fluent in English. Additionally, candidates must be able to perform all duties outlined in Avelo's manuals and comply with physical requirements, such as lifting 50 pounds, maintaining balance, and assisting customers during evacuations.
