    Description

    Jazz Flight Attendants, as brand ambassadors for Air Canada under the Air Canada Express brand, have the unique opportunity to create memorable journeys for passengers. They are responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of Air Canada and Jazz passengers while delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a welcoming and comfortable onboard environment. Always projecting a warm, caring, and empathetic professional image, they prioritize safety while providing leadership, direction, and assistance to passengers and colleagues. Flight Attendants execute all pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight duties in compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations, IOSA Standards, and the company’s Standard Operating Procedures and Policies. They are well-trained critical thinkers capable of making sound decisions in emergency situations.


    Requirements

    To qualify for this role, candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of French is preferred. Candidates should have 1 to 2 years of customer service experience or experience working with the public in roles such as teaching, nursing, or administration. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills are essential, along with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently.

    The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and a high sense of ethics with respect for diversity. Applicants must be 6'1" (185 cm) or shorter, hold Canadian citizenship or Permanent Resident status, and have the ability to travel outside Canada without restrictions.

    A valid passport with at least six months of validity is required at the time of hire. Permanent Residents must be able to obtain and maintain crew visa documentation for travel to the United States. Candidates must also be eligible to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card and, once hired, successfully complete Jazz's Initial Flight Attendant Training Program, which lasts approximately six weeks.

    Jazz guarantees a minimum of 10 days off per month, surpassing the industry average of 8 days, as well as a minimum of 2 weeks' vacation plus accumulated statutory holidays. Flexibility in base options allows employees the opportunity to transfer or exchange bases among Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal. The flexible schedule operates on a bidding system and includes options for part-time work, shift trading, and overtime. Employees also benefit from a pension plan.
