Sony Corporation of America is on the lookout for a full-time Senior Flight Attendant based in Los Angeles. The Senior Flight Attendant supports the Chief Pilot on matters related to cabin safety, management, and policy, while assisting the Trip Captain during assigned flights. Responsibilities include managing catering orders, maintaining cabin stock and passenger preference lists, and administering training for contract flight attendants to uphold exceptional service and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Flight Attendant plays a multifaceted role encompassing operational, administrative, planning, and training responsibilities, with occasional additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or Captain. Operationally, they are accountable to the Captain for inflight duties, ensuring safety, adherence to procedures, and providing exceptional passenger service while managing emergencies and administering first aid when needed. They coordinate passenger-crew communication, maintain familiarity with aircraft cabin systems, and ensure the aircraft is stocked, clean, and presentable before, during, and after each flight, including catering and service execution. Administratively, they are responsible for maintaining valid travel documents, managing inflight entertainment media, updating passenger preferences in the database, and supporting uniform standards and office-related duties. In the planning domain, the Senior Flight Attendant assists with crew assignments, contributes to SOPs and service standards, participates in equipment planning and budgeting, manages cabin inventory systems, and supports cost-containment initiatives. On the training front, they develop and deliver internal training, mentor junior and contract flight attendants, and supervise outsourced training programs. This leadership role ensures the highest level of service, safety, and operational efficiency across all cabin-related aspects.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a minimum of five years of related work experience as a corporate or private flight attendant with extensive international experience. An aviation training or management-related background is desirable. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and demonstrated customer service abilities are required, along with thorough working knowledge of food service and passenger relations. The candidate must also possess a current first aid card and be AED/CPR qualified.
