Join Air Inuit's Cabin Crew: Bring Warmth and Safety to Canada's North!
Are you ready for a flying career that's truly different? Air Inuit is seeking compassionate, reliable, and safety-focused Flight Attendants to join our team based in Montreal. This is more than a job—it's an opportunity to connect remote communities, embrace Northern culture, and deliver essential travel services to passengers across Nunavik and beyond.
If you're someone who finds meaning in making others feel safe and cared for, thrives in an environment that demands vigilance and empathy, and is excited by the prospect of exploring Canada's breathtaking Arctic regions, we invite you to apply.
Your Role: Guardian of Comfort in the Northern Skies
As an Air Inuit Flight Attendant, you become the reassuring presence our passengers rely on from the moment they step onboard. Your primary mission is ensuring every traveler feels secure, comfortable, and genuinely welcome throughout their journey. You'll master essential safety procedures outlined in our Flight Attendant Handbook, deliver clear announcements, and coordinate in-flight services with confidence and warmth. Beyond the cabin, you'll actively support our Safety Management System, promoting a culture where vigilance and care go hand in hand. This role asks for your adaptability—you may be called upon for additional tasks by the Flight Attendant Manager, always with the shared goal of exceptional passenger experiences.
What You'll Do, Flight After Flight:
- Be the calm, capable presence ensuring passenger safety and comfort from boarding to deplaning.
- Follow all regulatory standards and procedures detailed in the Air Inuit Flight Attendant Manual with precision.
- Champion our Security Management System by staying alert, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Conduct clear, confident safety demonstrations and announcements before takeoff, landing, and whenever needed.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee onboard services to create a smooth, welcoming experience for every traveler.
- Embrace flexibility by taking on additional responsibilities as assigned by the head of flight attendants.
What We're Looking For in You?
Beyond the resume, we're seeking individuals who genuinely care about people and can rise to the unique demands of Northern flying. To be considered, you'll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written). Knowledge of Inuktitut is a wonderful asset.
- Professional presentation, reliability, and a genuine commitment to representing Air Inuit's values and standards.
- At least one year of experience working directly with the public—whether in hospitality, service, or another customer-facing role.
- Full availability to attend and successfully complete our 6-week Transport Canada-approved training program in Montreal.
- A valid passport and the ability to travel freely.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and to be away from home for multiple consecutive days.
- Ability to meet all medical requirements, including a pre-employment assessment and drug screening.
- A clean criminal record, verified through a background check prior to hiring.
Where You'll Be and How You'll Work:
- Location: Based in Montreal, with flights throughout our network, serving 14 communities in Nunavik and beyond.
- Schedule: 17 working days per month, paired with 11 non-consecutive days of leave—offering a unique rhythm that balances time in the air and time at home.
- Compensation: Based on a 40-hour work week.
