    As a Cabin Attendant with Surinam Airways, you'll be the reassuring face our passengers remember. Working closely with the Head of Cabin, you'll take ownership of both the visible and behind-the-scenes aspects of every flight. Your mission is simple yet vital: deliver a safe, high-quality, and efficient onboard experience that leaves every passenger feeling genuinely cared for. Whether you're guiding someone through a nervous first flight or helping a family settle in for their journey home, your presence makes all the difference.


    What You'll Be Doing Day to Day?

    • Leading safety demonstrations with clarity and confidence, ensuring every passenger understands what matters most
    • Conducting thorough pre-departure and post-arrival cabin inspections, with a sharp eye for security details in the Y-class section
    • Mastering emergency, evacuation, and door procedures so you can respond calmly and effectively when it counts
    • Preparing and serving in-flight products with efficiency and a smile, always mindful of time and quality
    • Handling unexpected situations with grace, including applying aggression-reduction techniques when necessary to maintain a calm cabin environment
    • Checking the cabin, pantry, and trolleys to ensure everything is complete, stocked, and ready for service
    • Listening carefully to passenger requests and doing your best to accommodate their needs

    What We're Looking For?

    We're seeking candidates who bring the right blend of education, experience, and personal qualities to the role. To be considered, you should meet the following criteria:

    • Be between 23 and 33 years old
    • Hold a secondary vocational education diploma (VWO, HAVO, or IMEAO) and be willing to complete specific training courses
    • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English
    • Possess a valid First Aid certification
    • Stand between 1.65 m and 1.90 m tall
    • Have at least one year of relevant work experience
    • Be able to handle sensitive company information with discretion and confidentiality
    • Show familiarity with key aviation concepts including Flight Safety, CRM, Dangerous Goods, Security, and TSA Security
    • It will be an advantage if you also speak additional languages—we value diversity and the ability to connect with passengers from around the world.
