Solairus Aviation Seeks a Culinary-Minded Flight Attendant for Gulfstream G650ER – Based in San Jose, CA!

Solairus Aviation is searching for a dedicated, full-time Flight Attendant to join a prestigious Gulfstream G650ER operation based at San Jose's KSJC. This isn't your typical flying role—we're looking for someone who genuinely loves food, understands the art of service, and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing private aviation environment. If you have a flexible mindset, a passion for culinary excellence, and the stamina to deliver exceptional care around the clock, this could be the perfect next chapter in your career.

    What You'll Be Doing Onboard?

As the sole flight attendant on this account, you'll be responsible for creating a seamless, safe, and highly personalized experience for every passenger. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

    • Greeting passengers warmly, explaining safety equipment, and ensuring everyone feels informed and at ease.
    • Directing and assisting passengers during emergencies, while administering basic first aid, CPR, or AED support if needed.
    • Conducting thorough preflight briefings and securing the cabin in strict compliance with federal regulations before takeoff and landing.
    • Checking that all supplies—food, beverages, blankets, reading materials, and emergency gear—are onboard and sufficient for each trip.
    • Shopping for any special items requested by passengers for their specific flight.
    • Inspecting, cleaning, and restocking the cabin, galley, lavatories, and flight deck after every leg, ensuring the aircraft is always pristine and ready.
    • Performing periodic cabin checks during flight to maintain passenger comfort and cleanliness.
    • Completing all preflight, in-flight, and post-flight paperwork accurately.
    • Operating audio, video, and cabin management systems with ease.

What You Bring to the Team?

We're looking for someone who combines technical know-how with genuine warmth. To be considered, you should have:

    • At least five years of experience as a corporate flight attendant.
    • Culinary experience and a true passion for food—advanced culinary training is strongly preferred.
    • A working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and a current First Aid Training Certification.
    • Flight attendant-specific training from FlightSafety, FACTs, or a similar provider. Annual recurrent training is required. Candidates without formal training may be considered based on other qualifications but must complete initial training before any flight assignment. Preference goes to those who have completed FlightSafety, FACTs, or similar within the past 12 months.
    • The flexibility and patience to manage a constantly changing schedule, including late-night flights and short-notice deployments (a 2-3 hour response time if on standby).
    • The ability to deploy for up to 16 consecutive days and travel worldwide without restriction (consider your health and visa status).
    • Strong technical savvy—you should be comfortable operating all cabin management systems, galley equipment, and cabin features like berthing seats and configuring the divan into a bed.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with a high level of attention to detail.
    • A college degree is preferred, as is fluency in one or more foreign languages and experience caring for small children.

Physical Requirements to Keep in Mind

This role is physically demanding, and we want you to know what to expect:

    • Vision: Correctable to 20/20 or better. Uncorrected vision should be no worse than 20/20. You'll need to read reports, charts, manage paperwork, and use a computer, smartphone, or iPad.
    • Hearing/Speaking: Clear speech and adequate hearing to communicate effectively over the phone and in person with clients, coworkers, and pilots—even while the aircraft is in flight.
    • Standing/Walking: You must be physically capable of walking and standing without assistance, including standing for up to 14 hours with limited ability to sit. You should also be able to work long hours in various climates.
    • Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling/Bending: You'll need to kneel in the luggage compartment to load supplies and luggage, and maneuver within tight confines inside the aircraft.
    • Fingering/Grasping/Feeling/Strength: You must be able to push open and pull closed the main cabin door, which weighs up to 130 pounds. You'll also write, type, use a computer and phone, prepare and cook food, and serve beverages. Lifting supplies weighing approximately 25 to 30 pounds from floor level to waist height repeatedly is required.

What You Can Expect in Return?
