    United Seeks Greek-Speaking Flight Attendants!

At United, our flight attendants are the heart of our global brand, connecting people and cultures across the world. As the largest airline with the most extensive route network, we're looking for individuals who share our passion for safety, service, and exploration. If you're a Greek speaker with a genuine love for people and a desire to see the world, your unique skills are in high demand on our team.

This role is based in one of our major hubs, including Houston, Newark, Washington Dulles, or Chicago.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Prioritizing the safety and security of our passengers above all else.
    • Creating a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience for every customer.
    • Using your fluency in Greek and English to communicate clearly and provide comfort to our diverse clientele.
    • Demonstrating flexibility with your schedule, as our 24/7 operation includes nights, weekends, holidays, and trips that take you away from home for several days at a time.
    • Working seamlessly as part of a close-knit crew to deliver exceptional service.

Your Journey to the Skies Begins Here!

You don't need a specialized degree to launch this career—just the right attitude and a willingness to learn. We provide world-class training to set you up for success.

    • Comprehensive Training: Your journey starts with a fully-paid 6.5-week training program in Houston, TX. Here, you'll master everything from safety protocols to our signature service standards, all while building lifelong friendships with your classmates.
    • Support During Training: While you train, we provide a weekly stipend, shared hotel accommodations, and daily meals, so you can focus entirely on your new career.
    • Your Home Base: Upon successfully completing training, you'll be assigned to your operational base. This is where your adventures will begin, and you'll be officially welcomed as a full-time United employee.

Is This the Role for You?

We're looking for more than just qualifications; we're looking for a certain kind of person. Someone who remains calm under pressure, finds joy in helping others, and brings a positive, can-do attitude to every situation.

What You Bring to the Table

To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:

    • Be 21 years of age or older and a high school graduate (or GED equivalent).
    • Possess at least one year of customer service experience (e.g., in hospitality, retail, or education).
    • Fluency in Greek is required. You must be able to read, write, and speak Greek clearly.
    • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is also mandatory.
    • Hold a valid U.S. passport with at least 18 months of validity at the time of application, with no global travel restrictions.
    • Meet the physical requirements of the role, including the ability to reach overhead bins, push a service cart, and sit in a jump seat with the harness fastened.
    • Adhere to our professional grooming and uniform standards, including our tattoo policy (no tattoos on the head, neck, or hands; visible tattoos on arms/legs must be smaller than a credit card and inoffensive).
    • Pass a comprehensive 10-year background check, DOT drug screen, and vision/hearing tests.

Your Rewards for a Job Well Done

We believe in taking care of our crew so you can deliver your best to our passengers. Your career with United comes with a outstanding package:

    • Competitive Compensation: A starting rate of $28.88/hour, with additional pay for your Greek language skills, international flights, and lead positions. The top of the scale reaches $67.11/hour.
