Join United Airlines as a Greek-Speaking Flight Attendant!

If you're fluent in Greek and English, passionate about connecting with people, and ready for a career that takes you around the world, United Airlines wants to meet you. We're currently seeking Greek-speaking Flight Attendants to join our world-class team, with base opportunities in Newark, NJ; Dulles, VA; Chicago, IL; and Houston, TX.

As the largest airline in the world, United offers something truly special: the chance to turn your love for travel and service into a fulfilling career—without requiring a college degree or specialized schooling. We provide all the training you need to succeed, and from day one, you'll be part of a team that values safety, authenticity, and the joy of creating memorable experiences for every customer.

Your Journey Starts with World-Class Training

Your United career begins with 6.5 weeks of Initial Training in Houston, Texas. This is where you'll master our industry-leading safety protocols and service standards. During training, you'll receive a stipend of $140 per week, along with shared hotel accommodations and two meals daily (breakfast and either lunch or dinner, depending on your schedule). Once you successfully complete training and base orientation in your assigned hub—one of our seven major locations or another base—you'll officially join us as a full-time Flight Attendant.

    What We're Looking For?

We're searching for people who bring warmth, professionalism, and a genuine love for helping others. Here's what you'll need to qualify:

    • Be at least 21 years old at the time of application.
    • Hold a high school diploma or GED (two or more years of college is a plus).
    • Have at least one year of customer service experience in industries like retail, hospitality, food service, education, aviation, or social services.
    • Speak, read, write, and understand both English and Greek fluently.
    • Communicate clearly and confidently—especially in high-pressure situations like evacuations, medical emergencies, or severe weather.
    • Maintain a professional appearance that meets our uniform, grooming, tattoo, and piercing guidelines (visible tattoos are allowed only in certain areas and must not exceed the size of a credit card unless covered by standard uniform pieces).
    • Be physically capable of standing, walking, kneeling, lifting heavy objects (up to 250 lbs for beverage carts), and reaching a combined 76 inches vertically and 43.5 inches horizontally.
    • Fit comfortably in an assigned jump seat with seatbelt and shoulder harness fastened.
    • Possess a valid passport book (not just an application) with at least 12 months of remaining validity and two consecutive blank pages—you must have this in hand before training.
    • Be able to travel internationally without restrictions, including to all countries United serves.
    • Successfully complete a water evacuation drill during training.
    • Pass all pre-employment requirements, including DOT drug screening, comprehensive background checks, fingerprinting, and vision/hearing tests.
    • Maintain legal authorization to work in the United States.

Important Considerations for Background and Travel

Because our operation is global, we take background checks seriously. You must be able to pass a 10-year criminal background check and have no restrictions that would prevent travel to any country United serves. For example, Canada has strict inadmissibility rules for DWI/DUI charges within the last 10 years—if this applies to you, you would need a Temporary Resident Permit to perform your duties.

    Flexibility Is Key

This role demands a flexible lifestyle. As a United Flight Attendant, you'll be available for global assignments 24/7, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours. You'll often work on reserve, ready to step in on short notice, and you'll be away from your base for days at a time. Dependability and punctuality are essential to keeping our operation running smoothly.

    What You'll Receive>

We believe in taking care of our people. When you deliver your best, here's what you can expect in return:

    • Competitive Pay: Starting flight pay is $28.88 per hour, with top-of-scale pay reaching $67.11 per hour. Additional compensation is available for language skills, lead positions, and international trips.
    • Generous Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation, sick time, and an Employee Assistance Program.
    • Travel Privileges: You, your family, and your friends can fly around the world on a standby basis—one of the most exciting perks of the job.
    • Inclusive Culture: United is proud to offer inclusive uniform standards that allow employees to show up as their authentic selves.
    • Training Bonus: Upon successfully completing training, you'll receive a $1,000 bonus to celebrate your achievement.

    Ready to Take Off?

If you're excited about a career that combines safety, service, and global adventure—and you're ready to bring your Greek language skills to one of the world's most respected airlines—we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and take the first step toward an unforgettable journey with United Airlines.
