Join the Rex Team as a Solo Flight Attendant in Cairns!
Have you ever wanted a career where you're genuinely in charge of your own cabin, your own passengers, and your own daily adventure? Regional Express (Rex), Australia's largest independent regional airline, is looking for self-motivated, warm-hearted individuals to join our team as full-time solo Flight Attendants based in beautiful Cairns.
This isn't your typical cabin crew role. On our Saab 340 aircraft, you'll be the sole flight attendant onboard—meaning you'll own every aspect of the flight, from safety checks to service delivery. It's a position of real responsibility, and it comes with the reward of building genuine connections with passengers as you travel to some of Australia's most unique and remote destinations.
What Makes This Role Different?
Our flight attendants are famous across the industry for their award-winning, warm, and genuine inflight service. That reputation exists because of people like you—people who care, who take pride in their work, and who understand that regional aviation is about more than getting from A to B. It's about making every passenger feel seen, safe, and looked after.
As a solo Flight Attendant based in Cairns, you'll be the captain of your cabin. You'll handle equipment and security checks, make inflight announcements, serve food and beverages, keep the cabin clean and welcoming, and manage any situation that arises—all independently. Yes, it can be demanding, but the team spirit at Rex is strong, and the reward is a career where no two days look the same.
