When you join us, you'll be employed by Jetconnect, a company wholly owned by Qantas, but you'll take to the skies as part of the world-renowned Qantas cabin crew. Where You Could Be Based?
We're currently accepting expressions of interest for both our Short Haul and Long Haul operations:
- Short Haul Flight Attendants – Based in Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch, working across our Trans-Tasman routes.
- Long Haul Flight Attendants – Based in Auckland, flying to destinations further abroad.
What You'll Do: The Heart of the Role
At its core, the Flight Attendant role is about three things: safety, service, and passenger wellbeing. Whether you're working a quick flight across the Tasman or a longer journey to distant shores, you'll be the reassuring presence that helps every passenger feel cared for and secure.
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Being the safety leader onboard—ensuring every passenger understands and follows procedures, and remaining calm and capable in any situation.
- Delivering genuine, warm service that reflects the Qantas spirit and leaves a lasting impression.
- Attending to passenger needs with empathy and attentiveness, making every journey as comfortable as it is memorable.
- Working as part of a close-knit team where trust, communication, and camaraderie make all the difference.

Important Requirements
To be considered, you'll need:
- The right to live and work permanently in New Zealand.
- To meet the medical and security clearance requirements for cabin crew.
- To be at least 18 years of age and meet the height requirements for safety equipment access.
