    Ascend Airways is on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced Cabin Crew Training Instructor to join its team. Based in Gatwick, this role involves delivering exceptional training to both crew members and clients, with a focus on safety, service excellence, and professional development. Travel within the UK and overseas will be required to support training delivery and the airline’s ACMI operations, so flexibility and willingness to spend time away from home are essential. In addition to training responsibilities, the role includes rostered flying duties such as operational flights, line checks, and cabin monitoring. Working hours will vary, and may include weekends and bank holidays, with days off in lieu provided accordingly.     Key Responsibilities:

    As a Cabin Crew Training Instructor, you will deliver comprehensive ground school courses to both Cabin Crew and pilots of the company and its customers, ensuring that all training is conducted in a consistently professional manner. You will utilise various instructional methods to cater to different learning styles and contribute to the development of training materials and resources. Additionally, you will mentor and support new crew members and instructors during training and onboarding, provide constructive and timely feedback to both Cabin Services and Training Management. You will ensure consistency and quality assurance across all training content, perform assigned duties and attend office days as required by the Head of Cabin Crew Training. Additionally, you will promote and implement areas of improvement and innovation to uphold high standards of delivery, participate in departmental audits and reviews, attend regular training team meetings, stay current with industry trends and best practices, and engage in continuous professional development opportunities.


    Requirements

    The successful candidate must have a minimum of two years of training and assessment experience with a commercial airline or in a classroom setting. A Train the Trainer certification or a recognized teaching and learning qualification is required. Candidates should have experience delivering SEP, SOP, Fire and Smoke, Wet Drills, and aircraft-specific training in both classroom and practical settings. A strong understanding of UK CAA regulations, experience training diverse groups, and operational experience as an in-charge SCCM are essential.

    Desirable but not essential qualifications include a Dangerous Goods qualification, CRMT certification and delivery experience, AET Level 3 or equivalent, a valid CIN with the ability to deliver UK DfT aviation security courses, and experience on the 737NG or -8 Max. Experience conducting line checks and onboard compliance checks is also beneficial. A UK CCA and UK Cabin Crew Medical are required.

    Benefits and Perks

    Compensation includes a basic salary of £33,000, with expected earnings of £39,000 inclusive of an £80 daily training supplement and per diem while away from base.
