Take Flight with GoJet Airlines: Flight Attendant Opportunities Across the U.S.!
GoJet Airlines is looking for friendly, professional, and enthusiastic individuals to join our cabin crew—and no, you don't need previous flight attendant experience. What we're really looking for is a genuine commitment to customer service and a desire to grow in the aviation industry. If you're dependable, enjoy connecting with people, and thrive in roles that ask you to think on your feet, this could be the perfect career move.
What Makes This Role Unique?
Here's something you won't find at most regional airlines: the base you apply for is the base you'll be assigned. GoJet does not reassign you after training. You choose from Newark (NJ), Chicago (IL), Sterling (VA), or St. Louis (MO), and that's where you'll operate from.
As a GoJet Flight Attendant, you'll be the sole cabin crew member on a 50-passenger CRJ-550 aircraft flying under the United Express brand. This aircraft is redefining regional travel, and you'll be at the heart of the experience—overseeing safety, security, and service from boarding to deplaning. It's a role that demands independence, good judgment, and a warm presence that turns a short flight into a memorable journey.
What You'll Be Doing Onboard?
- Setting a high standard for in-flight service and making every passenger feel cared for
- Demonstrating rock-solid reliability and punctuality—your team and passengers count on you
- Thinking for yourself while staying aligned with your crew's goals
- Handling a wide range of situations, from routine service to unexpected challenges
- Working independently without direct supervision, especially as the sole flight attendant
- Keeping safety and comfort at the forefront of everything you do
- Responding to both emergency and non-emergency situations (don't worry—we provide thorough training)
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, and welcoming cabin environment
- Following all applicable regulations and company work rules
What You'll Need to Qualify?
Before you apply, please make sure you meet these requirements:
- Live within 90 miles (about an hour and a half) of the base you are applying to
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Be at least 21 years old
- Possess a valid Passport, driver's license or state ID, and Social Security card
- Have the legal right to travel unrestricted to and from all U.S. states and Canada
- Maintain valid travel documents throughout training and employment
- Have the legal right to work in the United States
- Be available to attend up to 6 weeks of paid training in St. Louis, MO
- Be prepared for reserve duty (being on call and ready to report to your assigned base), which may continue for an undetermined number of years
A note on appearance: We maintain professional uniform standards. In general, pierced ears and tattoos or piercings required by your religious beliefs are acceptable. However, tattoos or body piercings on your hands, face, or neck—or any that remain visible in business attire—are not permitted without exception.
The Physical Side of the Job
This role asks for real physical effort. You should be comfortable with:
- Standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and lifting heavy objects
- Long periods of standing and speaking
- Working in small, confined spaces
- Dealing with turbulence, dry air, and varying noise levels from aircraft engines
- Spending consecutive nights away from home and working in all types of climates
- Alternative work schedules, including holidays, evenings, and weekends
- Handling difficult situations, complaints, and conflict with calmness and skill
What We're Looking For in You?
Beyond the qualifications, we want someone who:
- Communicates clearly and warmly
- Provides a friendly reception to every single customer
- Represents the GoJet brand with professionalism while in uniform
- Has strong public speaking skills and good judgment
- Resolves issues with understanding, compassion, and perseverance
Two years of customer service experience is preferred, but not strictly required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $28.00–$44.00
- Monthly minimum: 75 flight hours
- Per diem: $2.00 per hour
- Travel perks: United Airlines flight benefits for you, eligible family members, and friends
- Health coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Financial protection: Disability, life insurance, and 401K
- Time off: Paid vacation after one year of service
- Uniform: Company-provided uniform bank
Training Details
Selected candidates must successfully complete a company-paid training program at our Flight Attendant Training Center in St. Louis, MO, plus a hands-on evaluation in the actual aircraft. Training lasts approximately five to six weeks, depending on class size.
As part of our partnership with the Inflight Institute, GoJet provides two complimentary training courses:
- A short supplemental video course that is mandatory prior to your interview
- A pre-course that you must complete with a score of 80% or higher before attending in-person training in St. Louis
These modules are designed to help you understand the journey you're about to begin. The Inflight Institute also offers many supplemental and aircraft courses, though these are not required to receive an interview.
