Join the Breeze Team as a "Seriously Nice" Part-Time Flight Attendant in Norfolk!

Breeze Airways is growing, and we're looking for warm, level-headed, and genuinely kind people to join our Norfolk (ORF) Crew Base as Part-Time Flight Attendants. If you're the type of person who stays calm when things get bumpy, finds joy in helping others, and believes that kindness actually matters, you might be exactly who we're looking for.

At Breeze, we don't just talk about being nice—it's one of our core values. As the most visible member of our team onboard, you'll be the face of that promise, ensuring every Guest feels safe, welcome, and valued from the moment they step onto the aircraft.

What This Part-Time Role Looks Like

This position comes with a monthly guarantee of 37.5 flying hours. To make this work, you'll need to live within a two-hour drive of Norfolk International Airport. Once selected through our interview process, you'll successfully complete our initial Flight Attendant training—and yes, training is paid.

    Your Day-to-Day in the Sky

This role is equal parts safety expert, hospitality professional, and calm-in-a-crisis teammate. Here's what you'll be doing:

    • Welcoming Guests onto the aircraft with genuine warmth, helping with seating, luggage, or any questions they may have. You'll stay present and available throughout the flight, regularly checking in on the cabin.
    • Keeping things positive and kind, even when stress levels rise. Our Guests should always feel valued, and that starts with your empathy and humanity.
    • Maintaining a safe environment for everyone onboard. That means staying current and fully compliant with FAA regulations, company procedures, and all training requirements.
    • Staying calm under pressure. Delays happen. Weather happens. Schedules change. You'll roll with it gracefully while keeping Guests informed and at ease.
    • Working closely with your fellow crew members—communicating clearly, collaborating, and showing respect at all times. We all perform better when we work together.
    • Preparing and serving meals, snacks, and beverages with the highest hygiene standards. You'll also maintain cabin and galley organization, even in tight quarters.
    • Providing clear instruction on emergency and evacuation procedures, and administering first-aid or medical care if needed. You'll also conduct security screenings and complete Autism Awareness Training.
    • Using and explaining Breeze's inflight technology comfortably. You'll also be willing to step in and assist other departments when necessary.
    • Keeping your professional appearance and etiquette on point, both in and out of the cabin. (And yes, small nose studs and visible tattoos within company guidelines are welcome—details provided during selection.)

    What You'll Need to Bring?

    Let's start with the must-haves:

    • At least 21 years old
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • A current passport with at least six months remaining before expiration
    • Legal right to work in the U.S. and to travel without restriction to and from the country
    • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English clearly (you may need to communicate safety instructions to Guests who don't speak English)
    • Ability to pass a vision and hearing test, a DOT pre-employment drug test, and a TSA fingerprint-based background check
    • Ability to serve beverages

Physical requirements matter for this role, so please know:

    • You must be able to reach and remove emergency equipment from overhead bins without assistance, and have adequate head clearance in the cabin.
    • You must be able to sit and buckle into the E190 and A220 Flight Attendant jumpseat harness and lap belt.
    • You'll be standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, closing overhead bins with approximately 50 pounds of push/pull force, and pushing beverage carts up and down inclines with up to 60 pounds of force.
    • You'll also assist disabled passengers into and out of the inflight wheelchair as needed.

Beyond the basics, we're looking for someone who:

    • Is naturally service-oriented and maintains impeccable hygiene standards (per CDC guidelines)
    • Works nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours without hesitation
    • Can report for Reserve Assignment at your assigned base
    • Is a self-starter with a positive attitude and strong desire to succeed
    • Turns challenges into solutions and thinks independently while still being a collaborative teammate
    • Handles difficult situations, complaints, and conflicts with skill and de-escalation
    • Communicates clearly in writing and speech, and reads announcements with competence

A Few Appearance Guidelines to Note:

    • Nose piercings: one small stud (2mm or smaller) in silver, gold, or gemstone—no hoops
    • No other facial piercings allowed
    • No teeth embellishments while in uniform
    • Maximum of two earrings per ear in uniform
    • Tattoos may be visible as long as they follow company guidelines (details provided during selection)

We believe in taking care of our people. Here's what you can expect:

    • 401K benefits eligible after 90 days
